A Lamar County woman was sentenced to 11 years and three months in federal prison in a nationwide child pornography case.

Charity M. Holloway, 38, of Lot 1 Bedsole Trailer Park located at 462 Trice Road pleaded guilty in federal court in Macon to sending sexually explicit photographs of herself, her daughter and another juvenile female to Steven Demink of Detroit, whom prosecutors said Holloway pursued romantically online. Lamar County and Pike County meet in the 29th renewal of the Battle of Potato Creek this week. The Trojans are 1-0-1 for the season while the Pirates are 1-1. It is no longer a region game as Pike moved up to AAA in the GHSA’s bi-annual reclassification but it’s still a fierce rivalry for the two schools a mere 12 miles apart. [Full Story »]
