Lamar County travels to Atlanta tonight as they Trojans take on the Lovett Lions in the quarterfinal round of the GHSA Class AA state football playoffs.

Tickets to Friday's Class AA state quarterfinal game at Lovett may be purchased at the high school office beginning Wednesday and continuing through Friday at 1 pm. Tickets are $12 per the GHSA with no discounts.

Also, you may still reserve a seat on the spectator buses at the high school office. Seats on the adult only charter bus are $20 while seats on the student only school bus are $10. Payment is due at the time reservations are made. This does not include the price of game tickets. The buses will begin loading at 4:30 Friday and leave the high school at five o'clock. Marla Morris’s year-old purebred beagle, Boogie Bella Bleu, is back with Morris after an unexpected and unauthorized trip to Florida.

Boogie’s strange story began Oct. 26 when Morris returned to her Greenwood Street home after a work shift to find her missing. Within 24 hours, she had learned that Ari LeBlond, a Crowder Street resident, had found the dog loose at First Baptist Church, picked Boogie up and posted a flyer with LeBlond’s name, phone and email, seeking to find the beagle’s owner.
