Mr. Edward Radell Adams, age 54, of The Rock, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 in a Spalding County Healthcare Facility. A native of Kingstree, SC, he was the son of the late Mr. Redell Adams and Mrs. Myra Jo Eaddy Smith, and was also preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Glen Adams. Mr. Adams had been a cab driver for City Cab.

A throng of students, faculty and guests were on hand at Gordon State College for ribbon cutting ceremonies at the new Student Activity and Recreation Center.
The $14 million building will be paid for with student activity fees.
Judge Hugh Dorsey Sosebee, 98, of Forsyth, Georgia passed away March 18, 2015. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21 at the First Baptist Church of Forsyth with burial in Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens. Dr. Dan Whitaker and Dr. H. Darrell Watson will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, March 20 at Monroe County Memorial Chapel.

Charles Lindbergh Stallings was born on December 14, 1927 to Ida and John W. Stallings. John passed away when Lindbergh was about one year old and his mother's family bonded together to raise him, just as they did through the years for many other family members. Taking a village to raise a child was commonplace during that time.
