With Boston Butt on sale at Giant Mart, try this celebs recipe for a favorite.

Ingredients
1 (5-pound) pork butt roast
4 tablespoons House Seasoning, recipe follows
2 tablespoons seasoned salt
4 tablespoons liquid smoke, found in grocery store
1 medium onion, sliced
1 cup water
3 bay leaves
Barbeque sauce of choice, for serving
House Seasoning:
1 cup salt
1/4 cup black pepper
1/4 cup garlic powder

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Sprinkle 1 side of the roast with 2 tablespoons of the House Seasoning, making sure to rub well. Flip the roast over and rub the remaining 2 tablespoons of House Seasoning. Repeat the process with the seasoned salt and liquid smoke. Place the roast in a large roasting pan. Add the onion, water and bay leaves to the roast. Place in the oven and cook for 2 1/2 to 3 hours, or until thermometer reads 170 degrees F. Let meat cool for a few minutes and then slice.

Serve with your favorite barbeque sauce.

House Seasoning:
Mix ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.

LCHS alumni Lance Austin picked up at blocked field goal and returned it 78 yards for a TD with no time left in regulation to give unranked Georgia Tech a 22-16 win over Florida State Saturday night at Grant Field in Atlanta.

This was the biggest upset in college football Saturday as Tech, on a five game losing streak, stopped the undefeated Seminoles.

The play was #1 on ESPN's Top 10 plays for Saturday's college football action.

I watched much of the first Democratic presidential debate last week and came away unimpressed.

There is little doubt Hillary Clinton will get the nomination. Bernie Sanders is an out and out communist who could never get elected and, though I am sure they are fine people, the other three candidates were mere window dressing.

I could never vote for Hillary. She just has too much baggage and huge trust issues. I have friends who think she is the most experienced person for the job and will vote for her. I respect their opinions but do not agree. So, I will be voting Republican and there is a far more interesting slate of candidates vying for the GOP nomination.

LCMS Lady Trojans stage huge rally; will host title game

The LCMS Lady Trojans scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to top Byron 6-5 Thursday and advance to the division title game. LCMS will host that game at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27 at Aldora Field.

The Lamar County Trojans (6-2, 3-0) blasted the Putnam County War Eagles (6-2, 2-1) 24-0 Friday night in the annual homecoming game. at Trojan Field. The War Eagles came in thinking they would change the balance of power in Region 4AA but were sent home in tatters, having not come close to scorng in the game.

Jessica Wyatt was named 2015 Homecoming Queen for LC.

The win likely locked up home field advantage for the Trojans in the upcoming playoffs.
