Donald Douglas Watson, age 84 passed away peacefully on August 25, 2019.
He was a native of Anna, Texas and lived the last several years in Barnesville, GA.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Reubin Lawrence Watson & Nezzie Shields Watson, 9 brothers and 2 sisters.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Esmeralda Watson; son and wife, Douglas & Charlene Watson; step-children and spouses, Michael and Linda Talley; Lester & Brenda Talley; Brenda & Alvin Ray; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Donald was a veteran and served our country as a US Navy C.P.O. during the Korean and Vietnam wars. During his career in the Navy, he earned several service medals and commendation awards. He served aboard 10 Navy ships including battleships, repair ships, aircraft carriers and destroyers. As an instructor, he trained sailors in damage control. He retired after 20 years of service.
He enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, teaching Sunday School, writing and singing songs, country gospel music, honey/cinnamon buns and fishing. He loved to laugh and had an easy going sense of humor.
Donald Watson’s Celebration of Life Service, with military honors, will be held on August 31, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of Mid-Georgia Gospel Assembly, 6225 US Highway 19 South, Zebulon, GA, with Rev. Lester W. Talley Jr. officiating.
Private family internment will be September 3, 2019; at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Milledgeville, GA.

Robert William Callahan, age 66 of Barnesville, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at his residence.
Robert was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 28, 1952. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Callahan and Martha Turner. Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Vietnam War. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lewis Darden; sister, Betty Tidwell; brother, James Niblett. Mrs. Darden was a homemaker and a member of Rock Springs Church. She enjoyed music, playing guitar, and loved to draw.

John Anton Howell, age 73, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019 at home in Culloden, GA. He was born in Mobile, AL on August 3, 1946. He graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1968 and was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity.
In 2008, he retired from Electrical Insulation Suppliers, Inc. in Atlanta after 31 years. During much of his career, he resided in Marietta, GA. He was head coach of Eastside Track Club (now known as Walton Youth Track Club) for several years while his daughters were involved. He remained very involved in his daughters’ athletic endeavors for many more years. After retirement, he moved to Culloden, GA.
Survived by his wife of 47 years, Andrea Reid Howell; daughters, Lane (Wright) Woodall of Barnesville, GA and Lacy (Blake) Alderman of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Hatch, Scout, and Levi Woodall and Hudson and Jake Alderman; sister, Julia (Stephen) Bird of Davidson, NC; sister-in-law, Peggy Howell of Albuquerque, NM and other family members.
The memorial service will be held at Monroe County Memorial Chapel, 86 W Main St, Forsyth, GA 31029 on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 2:00pm. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.

Mable Brinkley Guthrie
Mable Brinkley Guthrie, 88, passed away on July 28, 2019. She was born Mable Ruth Brinkley in Milner, Lamar County, Georgia on September 30, 1930 to Barney Blue Brinkley and Beulah Bessie Jordan Brinkley.
Mable is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Frances Brinkley Fordham; daughter, Carol Ann Smith Brown and grandson, Charles Morgan Berry.
Mable was a native of Lamar County, Georgia and raised her daughter, Carol Ann Smith in Barnesville. She was secretary to the Presidents of Tift College and Georgia Baptist Children’s Home. She was also one of the founding consultants for Tupperware where she won top sales awards. Mable danced into Phillip Guthrie’s heart and they married in 1991. She retired from the City of Snellville’s Parks and Recreation and they moved to their mountain home in Habersham County. Together they enjoyed live music and concerts by Phillip and his Shadow Mountain Band. Mable was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarkesville, Georgia where she sang in the senior choir and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed painting landscapes, playing dominos with friends, walking through the garden, crocheting baby blankets and she especially loved butterflies. “Miss” Mable was an avid storyteller and loved entertaining those young and old, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Phillip Wayne Guthrie; sister, Bess Brinkley Gaddy Kelly; granddaughters, Melody Berry Healan (Joseph), Holly Elizabeth Berry; great-grandchildren, Caitlin Leigh Haynes, Trade Berry, Annabel Ruth Haynes, Aiden Berry, William Berry Haynes, Addison Berry, Talon Berry and Tiger Berry; and nephews, nieces and cousins. Mable Guthrie was known for her feisty sense of humor, gift of gab, love of dancing and she never met a stranger! She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.

Mrs. Mary Joyce Bailey Littlejohn, age 67, of Yatesville, GA passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Navicent Health Medical Center.
Joyce was born on Monday, February 18, 1952 to the late Thomas Haygood Bailey and the late Kathleen Russell Bailey. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Joyce liked hunting and fishing. She loved her dog, Bubba.

Joyce was born on Monday, February 18, 1952 to the late Thomas Haygood Bailey and the late Kathleen Russell Bailey. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Joyce liked hunting and fishing. She loved her dog, Bubba.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Jesse Littlejohn; son and daughter-in-law, Tim & April Littlejohn; grandchildren, Kyle Littlejohn and Brianna Littlejohn; great-granddaughter, Madelyn Hendrix; sister, Fay Logan; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Mrs. Joyce Bailey Littlejohn will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 5, 2019 at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jerry Cross officiating. The family will receive friends at Williams-Westbury Funeral Home on Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
