Ms. Deborah Ruth Ross, age 66, of Barnesville, GA passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at WellStar Spalding Regional Hospital.
Deborah was born on Sunday, February 1, 1953 to the late Milton Lamar Ross and the late Maggie Ruth Sherwood Ross. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Warren Lamar Ross and her sister, Darlene Sprayberry. Deborah was self- employed working as a nanny. She loved everybody, all the children she raised as if they were hers. Deborah was a devoted Christian and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Barnesville. She never forgot anyone’s birthday.
Deborah is survived by her brothers and sisters- in-law, Jimmy and Clarita Sprayberry, Sean and Jeannette Ross; Sisters and brothers- in-law, Yvonne Williams, Cheryl and Allen “Butch” Nadzam, Stacia and Jason Martin, Kimberly D. and Jon Saunders; Best family friend, Dena Ray; Special family friends, Eddie and Toni Grogan and family; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service for Ms. Deborah Ruth Ross will be held at the First Baptist Church of Barnesville on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Garth Forster officiating.

Henriette Anneliese Sparwasser Bernard, 82 of Barnesville died on October 21, 2019 at Brightmoore Hospice in Griffin, GA. She was born in Mainz, Germany to the late Wilhelm Sparwasser and the late Friederike Kloeckner Sparwasser. She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and devoted her time caring for the elderly and less fortunate.
She is survived by sons, Norman and Joanne Bernard of Alabaster, AL and Rudiger and Ginger Bernard of Austin, TX. and daughters, Gabriele and Gerd Eppelman of Mainz, Germany, Marion Gnigler of Hausham, Germany and Silvia Waterman of Barnesville, GA.; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 25 at Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. William Larry Johnson, age 76, of Barnesville, GA passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2019, peacefully at his home.
Larry was born on Friday, April 23, 1943 in Thomaston, GA to the late Allen William Johnson and the late Mae Ruth Roberts Johnson. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Vivian McDaniel and Sharon Herndon. He was a United States Navy Veteran, serving both active and reserve for 14 years. He was honorably discharged and accumulated numerous honors during his years of service and retired from the City of Barnesville where he worked in the Electric Department and served his community in many capacities. Larry was a life-long wood worker and owner of Johnson’s Cabinets. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing his guitar, helping others and loved riding his motorcycle.
Larry is survived by his wife of 20 years, Diane Johnson; children, Donna and Rick Tomlin of Smyrna, TN, Deanna and Kelly Harshbarger, Donny and Elizabeth Johnson, Danny and Erica Johnson, all of Barnesville; stepchildren, Tralene and Donnie Barrett, Ashley and Joshua Buchanan of Hampton, Jennifer and Kiffen Rockwell, Kristin Harvey of Barnesville; a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rex and Barbara Johnson, Kenneth Johnson and Diana Borders; sister and brother-in-law, Mary “Doll Baby” and Herman Nicholson, all of Barnesville; several nieces and nephews.

Ryan was born on Wednesday, January 21, 1981 in Griffin, GA to Dennis and Dianna Wilson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Zolly and Elise Wilson, John and Mary Colley. He worked for State Farm Insurance as a Claims Adjuster. He was a member of Passion City Church. Ryan was an avid UGA and Braves fan, a strong Christian, never met a stranger, and was a generous soul. He also loved Marvel comics and video games.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Howard Corley; brothers, Hugh Allen, Roy Allen, Hillard Allen, Frank Allen and David Allen; sisters, Sally Phillips and Beatrice Moncrief. Alice retired from William Carter Company where she worked as an inspector. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Alice doted on her grandchildren and provided daily care to them for years. She loved to play bingo. Alice enjoyed cooking—and was good at it! She and her husband were also participating members of the Moose Lodge in Barnesville.

Robert Kenneth "Bob" Spillman
Robert Kenneth “Bob” Spillman,74, of Barnesville, husband of Bobbie Sue Long Spillman, died Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Brightmoor Hospice.
Born in Jacksonville, FL, March 13, 1945, he was a son of the late Mansfield and Edith Bigham Pilcher. He was a Veteran having served in the US Marine Corps during the Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam War. He also served as a body guard for the Joint Chiefs of Staff. For most of his life, Bob served in industrial maintenance until his retirement and was formerly a plumber with Holloway Plumbing in Thomaston.
He was a very active member of VFW Post 6542 where he was Past Jr. Vice and Trustee and was also a member of American Legion Post 168 in Barnesville.
Surviving in addition to his wife of thirty-nine years are a son, Brantley Spillman and wife Kari of Homewood, AL; two grandchildren, Graham and Amelie; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mark and Robin Long of Barnesville; and very close friends from VFW Post 6542 who were like brothers to him.
Services for Robert Kenneth “Bob” Spillman will be conducted Sunday, October 13, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Military Honors from the Chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Glen Vogel officiating.
