Jennifer Clark, the woman accused of bashing her husband’s head in with a baseball bat, heads up a long list of defendants due Lamar superior court Thursday.

Court begins at 9 a.m. with Judge Bill Fears presiding.

Clark is represented by public defender H. Burton Baker of Tifton.

Is "bashing her husband's head in" really good journalism? That can't be pleasant to read for his family, much less for me, reading this while having breakfast. I think there might be a more professional way to explain that she killed him.

His family may not want the case "candy coated" either. I can see it both ways. This woman is a monster and doesn't deserve anyone's sympathy.

how would you report this, would you say she kept gently laying the bat on his head until his head was broken? you people can be quite stupid. a bashed head is a bashed head.

how about, "she murdered her husband with a baseball bat by brute force trauma to the head," that is a good enough vivid description for the readers and is a sensible enough description for the grieving family

how about the other cases going before grand jury today?

I agree. Such terms belong in an editorial piece. This is a news story and, as such, should be written objectively. There's a huge difference between using descriptive language to inform and using descriptive language to influence. For instance, "struck" is a nice word and would reflect the professionalism and respect for objectivity every journalist should strive for. Just

I ablsolutely agree #6. She has already portrayed herself as a monster. I really don't think this kind of language is needed to make that point clear. Struck would have been a much better word than bash.

This is typical of the Herald's wonderful and objective style of reportage. It's a complete joke to imagine this kind of description would ever make it onto the pages of any real newspaper.

If it weren't so pathetic, it would be laughable.

Buy your own paper and you can write whatever you want. It's called freedom of speech. Enjoy it, because it may not be around much longer. It's no worse than you let your children watch on TV everyday, and if you don't like it just don't visit this website. Just click the little X at the top right on your screen and it will all go away. You are right. This is actual news, and agree with it or not they report it as they see fit. Since they do not force you to read you have many courses to follow if you do not like it. The main course is to leave the site.

Actually yes, TV is fiction BUT young children cannot tell the difference from fact or fiction. So many parents feed TV garbage to their kids, and then look at the world and wonder why it's out of control.

Children are being raised with sex and violence as their main babysitter......and sheeple thinks that this is "normal". This country is just full of a bunch of severely dysfunctional families.....thanks to that TV they worship so much.

I knew this woman, her kids went to school with my kids and I talked to her often. She deserves what she gets for her horrible crime and taking those boys away from their father. I miss seeing those little boys everyday, they were always full of joy. My kids miss them.

This is all really sad for the children involved they have lost both of there parents. She has to have mental problems she druged her children and her x before she killed him. She planned the whole thing. There are 3 children without there parents because of this. We all need to pray for those children.

That is the most ignorant remark i have ever heard. Think about what you say before you say it. The girl has to be mentally ill. That does not excuse what she did but it would make more since out of what she did. If not then she is just a very bad and terrible person and then she would deserve the death penality. But either way she deserves an attorney.
