So your argument is that Joe got nominated for not doing his job???? Last I checked they were both Simply doing their jobs, one got shot the other didn't. Unfortunately each officer with the exemption of a few deserve awards. They put their lives on the line each and every day, does getting shot qualify you for some special award I don't think so.
You know, I think sometimes recognition for a job well done is simply that. And why shouldn't a person get recognition?
Look at law enforcement, military personnel and educators. These people chose their professions, certainly, but a little "atta-boy" is not out of line.
I really don't get the negativity displayed toward our fellow man sometimes. A little kindness might make you feel better inside.
What a joke.I understand that it was probably his wife or personal friend that nominated him for this award. After speaking with a few people he did nothing special in the case it speaks about. The nomination actually even states it was everyone who helped with this. And after being in law enofrcement for 15 years I understand that the first year or two that you are an investigator you do not have any idea of what you are doing. This is a sad reflection on Lamar County that he is nominated. This award is for going over and beyond your duty. Not just doing your duty. Good guy, good job, but should not have been nominated. Get your friends or family which ever one nominated you to stop.
between the two,Joe def has this guy whooped

Any attempt to try to appear neutral has already been lost.
Regardless, neither of them will win, but at least the investigator here doesn't have such negative name recognition.
