The westbound lane of Highway 18 through Pike and Lamar counties will be closed Monday, March 1 through Friday, March 5 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily.

Thank goodness!! Pulling into my subdivision has worked a number on my car's suspension...can't wait til they smooth it out. Hopefully they'll start on the B-ville side of 18 first!

The city needs to start working on these horrible areas on Thomason St. and the entrance to Holmes St. from College Dr. that has gravel (or the lack thereof) in them. These spots have washed out and are horrible for a car. Im just before going to City Hall and showing my ignorant side.

I agree with you. I have almost been hit on 3 occasions from someone trying to miss this pothole and coming into my lane to avoid it.

The only way they fix those potholes is for the potholes to kick city's butt!! In which it will cost them not to fix it.

Well we have a piss poor managment system here in Lamar county.
Someone needs to send a truck out to City pond and re-do the driveway there. There are a couple of holes in there that drop down about 5 or more inches. It needs to be graded and new gravel layed down in the driveway.
Isnt this a part of the yearly fee we pay to fish out there. This is a part of the up keep. I challenge you all to ride out there and drive to the parking area for city pond. It is rediculous.
