Reflecting the dismal economy nationwide, Lamar County’s unemployment rate rose to 8.8% in December, up from 8.3% in November and 4.8% in December 2007.

suck it up and get a job that you might not like. Any income is better than none.

...just lost my really good-paying corporate job yesterday. I've already applied to about 40 places, including McD's. I gotta feed my kids...

Times are tough right now, and for those of you who are paying attention, McDonald's may not even have an opening if you lose your job.
We all need to be a little more compassionate these days.
