Between Friday, Feb. 26 and Friday, March 5 the Barnesville police department made five arrests:
Melaine Evans, 334 Atlanta St., Barnesville, speeding and driving while unlicensed;
Carnell Furlow, 594 Gordon Rd., Barnesville, driving under the influence of alcohol, suspended license, open container and no headlight on;
Sammie Furlow, 397 Atlanta St., Barnesville, disorderly conduct;
Warren Johnson, 304 Parker Branch Rd., Barnesville, simple battery and criminal trespass;
Quinetta Welmaker, 200 Southland Drive, Barnesville, probation warrant.
Officers answered 92 calls for service including seven accidents, five alarms, 13 building security, one burglary, two crowd control, 12 domestics, 20 escorts, three fraud, one fight, one harassment, 10 miscellaneous, two noise complaints, five prowlers, five suspicious persons/vehicles, one theft of propane and one warrant check. They issued 59 citations including one criminal trespass, one DUI, one driving on wrong side of street, two driving while unlicensed, one expired tag, one failure to dim headlights, three failure to stop at stop sign, one failure to yield, one loitering, four loud music, three no insurance, four no license on person, seven parking violations, one open container, eight seat belt violations, one simple battery, 13 speeding, one stop sign, one suspended license, two suspended registration, one violation of license restrictions, one window tint.
