Soccer, baseball on tap here this weekend
The Lamar County soccer teams host Howard High School of Macon Friday at Trojan Field. The Lady Trojans kick things off against the Howard girls at 5:30 p.m. while the Lamar boys battle the Huskies at 7:30 p.m. The Lady Trojans go into Friday's match with a 4-3-1 record while the boys are 3-4-1.

According the Lamar County Activities Director Calvin Scandrett, Friday's soccer matches between Lamar County and Howard have been cancelled and rescheduled for April 8. The next home varsity matches are March 30 against Manchester. The junior varsity teams will host Griffin at Trojan Field Monday beginning at 5:30 p.m.
