quote "No reason why a healthy man or woman cannot be able to urinate and give us a sample" It says she did, "it just appeared to be diluted" so they assumed that she was on drugs! If it came out of her body and didn't test postitive for drugs then who cares! You mean they can regulate your fluid intake when you go to drug court? Dang we are losing more of our liberties every day! Suprised that they admitted "diluted" normally they'd just make it say postitive in their records so that this issue would not come out in public. The labs they use do not follow the proper procedure for taking a speciman 75% of the time
1: If you dont like the results of the test pay out of pocket for a hair analysis and if the test comes back in your favor proving the urine test was wrong the state could reimburse you the money.
(downfall to this)
There is a series of shampoos and chemicals that goes in your hair to pass drug tests that is available.
2: Dont get in trouble so you have nothing to worry about.
I'm in agreement with the posters here too.
Grandma and parent, you'd be better off telling your child that since she has had a drug problem in the past, this is the what she will have to go thru in order to get her life in order.
By sticking up for her, you are not allowing her to learn a valuable life lesson which may steer her on the path to a clean life. You are enabling her and you're buying into her "everybody is so unfair to me" mentality.
Back off and let her learn to stand on her own 2 feet.
Get real...if you don't stand for the child, teenager or young adult when it is apparent that the test was not positive and this person spent time in jail on the assumption of the court....who else is going to stand for them. It appears by the hair strand test(90 days drug free)that she has made the initial changes for her problem as this will be a long road for her still. We as parents are taking the blame for either not being there for our children/young adults and this is why they have become the courts excuse for an overwhelming burden of dysfunctional criminals or on the other end of the spectrum that we enable them so that the courts see it as though we as parents have given the child/young adult the idea that they are untouchable and do not have to face any consequences. I say at some point that the good common sense god has given everyone has to kick in for any and all to realize right from wrong and the mistakes they make lay on their own conscious, the responsibility to live and learn and move on to make better decisions for their criminal free and productive future. Stop holding parents as the reason for failure that these people have gone through. Do expect any family to give moral support either way (it is unconditional love, not an approval)and especially if the family sees injustice with the criminal "justice" system. We see this daily that this system is flawed and not perfect. The criminal justice system is there for a purpose, to protect our communities and our standard of a safe living environment...that does not mean that they always make the correct decisions...and this situation is clearly a ridiculous judgment to place a person in jail for such a convoluted reasoning. If she did not fail the urinalysis then there should of not been any reasoning for a jail sentence. Is there now a new law on the books that we are not to consume powerade or any other product that is considered a normal beverage that is not illegal and consumed by millions. I commend the parents and family for thinking outside the box and following through with supporting your family member that you know more than anyone as to her progress in her recovery.
I think there is more to the story than just dilute urine. Yes, a person can you expensive shampoos to get there hair clean and pass the drug test. There is a normal level for fluid in take and excessive flushing of the system. There is stuff you can take that will flush the system free of drugs too. Just don't do the drugs and then you won't have to worry about getting caught!
