There you go, be careful what you ask for. Bringing business into the county is not always a good thing. This is going to be an on going problem and the tax payers in the end are going to pay. Things that make you say hmmmm or should I say pewwww!
They still have not complied with the order from their last court appearance. The odor is not as frequent as before but it's not gone. We have about one day a week that we still get the odor, usually on the weekend. If they are planning to stir up that odor on a regular basis again, we will be appealing to the court to do something about it.
I wonder what will be the basis of the appeal? Everything I read and heard, was that there was a strong smell out there. I havent heard anything about qualifications of those who have the business, and what skills regarding composting that they have. I hope the courts will remember the population.

Hey - health care reform has been overturned. They say it unconstitutional.
You're still going to die young!
This is what happens when the chips are down, no matter what a business "promises". The green power plant has promised to be good for us also. They won't sign anything on paper about what they burn in the future, they just gave their word. Like the composting plant just gave its word.
The weather is nice, Easter weekend is here and the composting plant is smelling bad. This the third day without a break from the stench. They obviously have not complied with the order to get the odor under control. What next? Do they expect the Superior court to give them permission to continue? Seems that they are operating as before, regardless of the previous court order and fine! We want relief from this situation. Time to start making calls!
I think that we, the local residents & property owners will need to get together and sue them for damages. We are tired of being deprived of fresh air. We've had to use central air conditioning when open windows should be adequate. Energy costs are going up constantly and it's unfair to be forced to live with 300.00+ electric bills in mild weather. If everyone affected by Greenco's stench will step forward and join us, we are certainly ready to take action on this.
