This Congress isn't just openly flouting the U.S. Constitution.

They're openly admitting it.

Rep. Phil Hare, D-Ill., was recently caught on video saying -- despite his oath to the contrary -- that he doesn't care whether the new health-care law is constitutional.

More and More we are realizing that this attitude is what the majority of our congressmen think. I find it to be a great concern, no matter what party you subscibe to, to allow that kind of attitude to prevail.
Makes you think of High Crimes and Misdemeaners, to our Constitution.

If you want to know if the recent healthcare legislation was a good thing just ask the doctors who have a rural family practice. What I am hearing from these doctors is a very large portion of their practice has no insurance and of those who don’t have insurance as much as half of them, the bill is uncollectible. The requirement to have insurance will sure up the very backbone of the nation’s general practice. This means money from the latest instruments and staffing that will help in the early detection that will no doubt save more lives.

How are people going to be able to buy the ins. if they don't have jobs? How will they be able to pay the fine if they don't have jobs?
I hear that the bill states that if you can't pay the fine, it'll be waived and your healthcare will be paid for you? Whats the use in having it?

No joke just fact. If you took the time to ask a local doctor who is actually working in the trenches to provide health care instead of a GOP politician you would already know this. If a Doctor is a specialist he would more than likely not give you the same answer as someone in a general practice because the uninsured seldom make it to a specialist because of the cost. General practice the the first line of defence in our nation's health care system.

Yep dem thar democrats done did good with you causing you can tell causing you got asuch a good edumacation. I would of done wrote everbody quicker but I has to go to the doctor cause I got hung up on defence and cut me. Sho was nice having dat obamacare to pays tha bill. least what now I ain't gots to put up with all dem phone calls and trash mail enymore.

If you want to see what a great job the government has done with health care, go to a V.A. hospital sometime and look around. Seriously, go tomorrow, see for yourself what the government is capable of.

Amen #5...The VA Medical Care is nothing but socialized medicine at its best (or dare I say worst). So many vets cannot even get decent medical care and just sit and wait to die...just you wait and see what's coming----Obama and his minons will destroy this country! I hope Pelosi doesn't get sick and have to use the care she and her cohorts have forced on the American people. What or what will she think then?

They will not be insured under this government plan,also in regards to #2's statement,rural drs are few and far between, they are not the "backbone " of the medical field. Most poor or rural folks go to the local emergency room. And most drs that are located in remote or rural areas are doing so on a volunteer basis,or as a requirement of their education.This healthcare bill is the biggest rip-off,of the American people, since jimmy carter was president.

No I am not a Vet...BUT my father, grandfather, step-father, step-grandfather all are and were. I have seen what the VA did to them and is continuing to do to them. Medicine arrives 3 to 4 weeks late...appointments set 3 months in advance only to get there and the doctor not be there. Then you have to reschedule another 3 months out. Yes I may not be a Vet, but I am fully aware of the socialized VA system. I pray that our country does not have medical care that is on the sub-standard level I have witnessed. I am proud of the service that my family has contributed to this country. I am not proud of the treatment they have received. They deserve better!

Where does the Constitution forbid healthcare reform? Someone should slap a crown of thorns on this bleeding heart liberal congressman and nail him to the cross. That will surely stop this crazy compassion thing from happening again.

I am a little confused about why Georgians suddenly care about the U.S. Constitution. If I recall, this state has a history of ignoring the Constitution; witness segregation, for example. Regarding health care, I think we need to be a little rational here. Right now, since I have insurance, I am paying for the health care of those who do not have it. A doctor or hospital does not really write off those bills from the uninsured; my bill is increased. Under the new law, people who do not have insurance will be required to pay their fair share. To me, that seems like a very Republican idea.

I do not buy into the scare tactics and other fallacies of the opposition. Just recently, someone whipped out a cell phone and told me she could not afford health insurance. Like many others, she confuses needs with wants.

I do not think this bill puts a burdern on citizens at all, and it will help rural health care.

It is not & never has been the responsibility of Congress to care if any legislation passed is constitutional or not since the constitutionality of legislation is the responsibility of the Judicial branch of the government.

For everyone that thinks the Gov. is a fix-all, answer why the social security system is on the verge of going bankrupt. This is the first year they did not take in more than payed out. Answer why Fannie-mae has gone broke, had to have millions of taxpayer dollars due to underhanded people in power. Answer why Freddie-mac has had to go through the same process. Answer why every man woman and child, including you, owe appx. $36000.00 dollars each to pay for the spending of this GOV. Answer why a survey of Doctors that have been in practice for a while, 40% have said they would not participate with the Fed. Gov. but do something else, or offer their services to other countries. The answer to these very simple questions-----They have been, and still are under the controled management of the Federal Gov. that were put in by people that have no clue as to what any of them stand for,like this idiot that said the Constitution dose not matter. This is one idiot that the other idiots put in power, should be very apologetic to their fellow Americans, for screwing them to the wall thinking they will get something for nothing, which ain't gona happen. This free stuff is going to make you pay through the nose. The Federal Gov. has plans to cut billions from medicade and medacare, which will mean some of you will not get the full benefit of the program. (THE ANSWER TO THE QUESTIONS I HAVE ASKED) is one that you Gov. worshipers do not want to here. All of the above has been under Fed. Gov. close controle since the beginning. How in the hell do you think the Fed. Gov. is going to turn over a new leaf by manageing these Federal agencies like a business insted of their private piggybank. Look how much money every manager has stole from the taxpayers. Raines alone put $9,000,000.00 dollars in his personal account. Gorelic $6,000,000.00 dollars in hers. Now you people want to hand over the care of your most precious item, the healthcare of you and your family. Be stupid and hand yours over but have mercy on me and mind,(leave me out of your ignorant idea) I want no part of this intrusion on me or my families future. Dont drag us over the cliff with your bunch. get off your duff and research before you put these type of people in power over anything.
