Former Gordon College baseball coach Hank Small died last month after a fall in his Griffin home. He was 56.
Small was a legendary high school slugger in Atlanta and starred at the University of South Carolina. He was also quite a character.

Hank was a great guy and fun to work with. Playing golf with him was an expereience I will never forget.

Hank and I were roommates throughout our minor leauge baseball careers. We became very close but lost touch after our playing days ended. I used to think of Hank and his estranged Wife Peggy often. I wish I would have tried harder to contact him and catch up on each others lives. He was a gentle giant with a heart of gold. Heaven is a better place because of him
