Barnesville police raided a gambling house at 130 Matthews Street late Friday night and made eight arrests for gambling and narcotics possession.

very interesting story however my questions are regarding the police.

Mr. Geiger can you help answer the questions for my understanding:

(1) why is the spalding county sheriff department assisting with this "bust". what right, juriosdiction or business do they have here in Lamar County?

(2) why do the LCSO employees ride around in cars that are registered to dade county. ive seen todd pippin and other lamar county law encforment in cars with dade county tags on them. why are they not registered to lamar county?

The vehicles are registered in lamar county. Undercover vehicles hardly ever have the county sticker that it is actually used in. You se this in every county in GA.

It kills me how everyone can have an opinion about someone other than your own self. In this world you are always looking at the other person to see what is wrong with them or their family. Her husband Tommy Lee been working hard is whole life as well. So they have built a life. Stop talking on what they have and how they got it. Seek the lord and he will bless you just like he has blessed them. Stop worrying about their life and improve your life. You will become blessed as well. You can get out and work hard just like they do. Their life is their's. So live yours and gain one while your at it. If you had a life you would not be so worried about what other people are doing. God will take care of them. Now who is going to take care of you with all the dislike in your heart? talking will only take you so far. True enough people make mistakes in life. It is not left up to us to judge. That is God's job. Whatever battle they go thru will only make them stronger. The Underwood's and Davis's are kind and loving people. The BPD has nothing to do with what happens during court. Blame the DA for that. One thing for sure is they will keep cathing them. They will keep putting them in jail where they belong. How long they stay in jail is up to the courts dumb ass. As to Spalding helping, I think the drug dogs were probably used.

hello, LSCO has two drug dogs. shannon williamson and one other deputy went to school with them to be trained.

dirty cops, something of this nature had no business for spalding county coming into lamar county to enforce law.

i guess when spalding county pulls you over for speeding in lamar county and hold you until a lamar county officer arrives to officially write you a speeding ticket you'll recognize the situation.

Ms. Connie Davis is an amazing woman she kept me all my years when I was younger she is a loving lady and well help anyone that needs a hand. Its seized cars. Tahoe, charger, hummer etc. They get siezed from what I was told and the out of town plate lets them ride in the midst of people with out the dope boys freakin out. They swap up every once in a while. Certain vehicles are completely obvious and can hinder the movement of dope dealers and other law breakers if they spot a cop car.

This isn't the only place they go to gamble, drink smoke and etc. This a problem too all of the same activities go on there on a weekly basis too. Can nothing be done about that? They should have busted the place on a real good night when they see cars lined down the street they would have found a whole lot more money, drugs, firearms and whatever else they were looking for. Our community is run down with all this illegal activity, and yet they still seem to get away with it.
