Will someone find out what really is going on in the assessors office, all we hear is about people resigning. How about some investigative reporting.

once everyone works together to keep barnesville city property values low and stick the county folks with all the tax debt everyone will be a team.

From what I am hearing you are right on the money. All the assesments and taxes are now on line so anybody can see what is paid for what and by whom. I believe there is a disparity between county and city assesments. The city gets elevated services because of their location and duplicated facilities as they should by what they pay in city taxes. Although I do believe this purge of the assesors office is more about control than money and the commissioners influence should be to appoint and then completely stop at that level. Obviously this is not the case. I wish I really knew what was going on and I bet it would be a real suprise to everyone.

I think the corruption in B'ville offices IS the death smell he is talking about.

Thanks Aaron for your service. It's too bad that you couldn't find a happy medium and stick around for a while. Politics is a dirty game.

This county lost another good board member. But isn't that just what the commissioners want? They dont want anybody on that board that has a brain. Look out county taxpayer's. If you want to know what is going on in that office just go to one of the meetings. Its a big joke. The chairman of the board of assessors has no clue. He's not the brightest star in the sky.

Once again I say our county is in a hell of a mess, after all this mess why would anyone with any sense or ability want to be on this board?

#4 said it all. All of this needs a closer look. Then maybe we could all meet at the Rendezvous for a drink later, maybe deal us a hand in the poker game.
