Distillery approved for Jackson

Well if I were a business and looking at various locations one of the first places to look is the paper. Look at what has been going on in our county it seems our leaders can't get their crap together so as a business owner that would worry me. Furthermore I would look at websites such as this and see what people have to say. Unfortunately these post are mostly negative, including this one. While I'm proud of where I live I feel like our leaders have failed us miserably because it seems that they cannot think outside the box or think forward for future moves. This same type of issues occurred years ago when Lamar had the chance to have at least one of the truck stops in the county and they turned them down. Think of the tax revenue we would have received from that. Some people would say oh this is evil Liqueur well here's a thought if we don't take the business someone else will, our leaders need to be able to pick their poison when it comes to businesses coming into the county (not that Lamar was even in the running for this) I'm just saying.... BTW I see a Waffle House being built on the Lamar side of the interstate on HWY 36. That place will be packed; to bad we can't get a Cracker Barrel or something of that sort out there as well. It would be nice if our leaders would contact these businesses and show them the amount of traffic that comes through the area and try to get some of these companies to our county.
