Elections heating up; new challenger emerges

The qualifying period for the upcoming general primary begins at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 26 and runs through noon on Friday, April 30.

The general primary is July 20. Any necessary runoffs would be held August 10.

If your an incumbent you gotta go. All the way from the Federal Government to the Local side. I'm tired of professional politicians only looking out for their wellbeing. We the people put you where you are and its time you start listening to us or move over and let some who will.... BTW stop leading people to believe that everything is a freaking right. Read the constitution.

I would like to see Lynn Wilson run for County Chairman. He did a good job on the City Council.

nope, no, nada...and hey, hey good bye to all incumbents.. this is from the national level to the local level. I do not give a rats patuddy if you are a Demo, Repu, Lib or a tea drinker if you are an incumbent you will not get my vote

That's real smart. Just throw the baby out with the bath water. That's about as stupid as putting Obama in the Whitehouse!!! Why don't you study voting records and see who is doing a good job and who is not - gee what a novel idea!

I knew it! With all then recent right wing rhetoric Spencer has been cranking out, he had to be setting himself up to run for public office. I thought this guy was a weekend warrior and a full time physician. How could he ever find the time to be an effective state representative.

You say look at the voting record; OK, lets do that. They vote party lines if they don't they are thrown out by their parties, or the flip side just as what has been happening they are bribed or made to vote a particular way. So you can use your analogy about throwing the baby out with the bath water.... You dang Skippy cut the snakes head off and the whole snake dies, these people have never had real jobs for the most part. Being there as long as some have has given them the chance to grow relationships with lobbyist that are very harmful to the country. Lets clean them all out and start a new.

For what money it takes to win an election you would just replace one crook for someone else who has already made a pack with the devil.
