This week America, much of Europe, and members of the commonwealth of nations will quietly celebrate the 65th anniversary of VE Day. That was the day -- May 5, 1945 -- when the war in Europe was over. The war in Europe had lasted almost six years, and not even counting the war with Japan, this war had cost more than 50 million lives. As far as the disruption of humanity throughout all of world history, only the Black Death of the 14th century comes close.

people that died for our freedom. As of our
great men and women in uniform today.
If you see any of them today say "Thank You".
Maybe buy their lunch.
I hope I will do better to remember the ones that have gone before us.
I do thank the new generation of fighting men and women of now. They are just as dedicated to the cause of freedom. They have exhibited more courage than a mama she bear, and that is fierce. My hats off to you also. Take a uniform to lunch, or pay for their meal, anonymous, like the most of you that put your comments out.
