The Fayette Citizen is reporting a Fayette County deputy caught disgraced former judge Paschal L. (Pappy) English Jr. of Survivor fame and the public defender with whom is is alleged to have had an improper relationship in a parked car in an subdivision still under development.

Ethics violations???? OMG you have GOT to be kidding. Since when has ANYONE in Lamar County cared about ethics violations? Many public officils in Barnesville do what they wish, when they wish, and do not care if they violate the civil rights of others.

And ethics? Oh man you have me rolling now, that's one word that most public officials in Barnesville do NOT know the meaning of!

It take two to tango and it appears he is old enough to be a consenting adult and I'll bet the other is too. No one knows what the home life is like. This is nobodys business except the family.

I agree - National Enquirer or BS Weekly. Yet I'm sure some self rightous jerk is going to say they are in the public eye so it does matter. Why? Nobody cared when Bill and Monica had the hots for each other.

It may be just me, but I expect a higher standard from elected or appointed officials. And yes, if this was 18 months ago, he WAS still in office.
This kind of stuff does matter. The morals in one's private life show exactly what we can expect in the public sector from this person.

The reason this is news is NOT simply because he had an affair...it is WHO he had the affair with!!!! If it was some random lady not associated with the legal system, it may be more of a personal issue. But since this involves a public defender he works with, that changes everything!! The reason that changes things is because his decision making may have been biased due to the inappropriate relationship...in which case the inappropriate relationship had a direct effect on the lives of others in his court room based on HIS personal life!! See the conflict now????????

I am sorry I have to correct you on one little tiny tenny point though.

MOST???? Sorry but ALL of the public officials in Barnesville do not know the meaning of words like Ethics or decent or honorable. I don't think I have enough room to list all the words. But you get my point.

Its a shame, but its just not in Barnesville, its all of the elected officials, every where. I bet there is not one out there that is not corrupt in some way or another.
