Blue Cross responds to Tenet charges

For the past several months, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia (BCBSGa) negotiated in good faith with Tenet Health System in order to keep its facilities among the hospitals in BCBSGa’s network, and available to our valued members.

Typical. The insurance company and hospital are fighting over who gets to keep the most money, and we the patients just get the shaft.

I beleve tennant offers good service I beleve bcbs doesnot want to pay up they want to cut the payments to save money! who is going to get hurt? us!Shame on bcbs! Can't they both agree to stick it to us! our Govt. is -why can't they?

This is nothing but two GREEDY CORPORATIONS trying to get the most money they can...and as usual...the little people get screwed!! Obama has NOTHING to do with it...GREED does...I am so tired of the fat cat mentality...I work for one...BY GOD,. .. I am so and so and everyone is trying to take money out of my pocket while I lie and cheat and steal and pocket everything I can..Where in the sam hell did the DECENT employers and morals go???? If there are any honest employers that give a crap about the employees ....can I have a job please??

I agree. I pay roughly $300 per pay period for insurance. Then I have a $1500 deductible, $45 dr visit copay, $30 generic prescriptions, and NOW I'll have to drive to Fayetteville, Forest Park or Macon to use my BCBS insurance? Upson isn't a provider for BCBS any longer either. The whole insurance industry seems like a rip off to me right now. SOMEBODY is making money off all us poor working folks paying the high premiums for reduced services.

I verified with the business office at Upson Regional yesterday that they still accept BCBS PPO.

They do not take BCBS HMO which is what I have. I have verified this myself.

The thing to do here is take a very proactive stance in your healthcare and take the time to find out where you can get your procedures done. Don't go straight to the hospital, expecting to get all your work done there.
Find out from your insurance company where you can get certain procedures done rather than within the hospital's walls. We do have options, we just have to suss them out on our own.
If we are smart consumers, we can make an end run around these fat cat corporations and hold onto our money and keep it out of theirs...

hospitals and get help when they have a car
accident but not the people that pay for
insurance thru Bcbs?

Not only can they but as a tax paying citizen my friend you will be footing the bill for that too. Now that's change you can believe in . . . somebody ALWAYS gives something for nothing. Problem is that it's not the somebody getting the nothing that's giving the something to get nothing.
