The Trojan Youth football camp held last week and hosted by the LCCHS coaching staff was the largest ever.

awesome. Now if we could get some of these children involved in a baseball camp instead of being pansies chasing a soccer ball.

My son did baseball camp, soccer camp and football camp. Soccer is not a pansie sport. It is just as rough as football or baseball without all the protection!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Soccer is the in thing try it you might like it, but oh it does take a different class of parents and children!

So, #3, could your statement be interpreted as, that anybody that doesn't play soccer is lower class? If not, then how would you describe the class of people that their kids play baseball and football?

It sure is funny how football rakes in more crowds and money than baseball or soccer. My child plays several sports. We appreciate the time and effort that these coaches put into the community and children no matter what sport it is. Maybe if you got decent coaches for baseball like we have for football there would be more baseball participation! Who cares what sport a child plays? Worry about yours and let me worry about mine.

Amazing...people, you should support whatever GOOD your child does. What a positive story about a community coming together to offer something to their children. It's just sad to see the "adults" in the community post things as calling a sport "pansy". Just confirms that I am happy NOT to live in a small, closed minded town as I did for 38 years! Grow up people!

And BTW...look at all the attention of the World Cup...all pansies, I guess!

Once you reach a certain age or level in soccer it can be rough and tough. I would say that is probably close to a college level and more advanced. Until then its really nothing more than kids running around feeling like they are involved in something. There is no way you can compare which one is more talented or which one requires more talent rather, baseball or soccer. Its not even close. apples and oranges is the closest thing that comes to mind.
