2010 FINAL ELECTION RESULTS

District 1 Commission

Bennie Horton: 175

Eric Shropshire: 150


District 2 Commission

George Brown: 210

Charles Glass: 370


School Board At-Large

Ryran Traylor: 861

Danny Turner: 1087

In other races of interest:

House district 125: Susan Holmes defeated Mary Alice Carter 118-78 in Lamar. With a smattering of advance ballots in Monroe County not counted, Holmes led 2897-1914 districtwide and has won this race.

House district 126: David Knight trounced Bill Mauldin 472-122 in Lamar, held a 2937-853 lead districtwide with 99% of votes counted and has won this race.

House district 127: With only a few votes left to be counted, Maddox led Price 3356-2126 districtwide and has won this race.

Governor: Karen Handel and Eric Johnson were the top two in Lamar on the Republican ticket. Roy Barnes won big here on the Democratic ballot.

way to go danny. its time we have someone that wont just rubber stamp everything truby tells them too.the school systems and counties outlandish spending must stop before the property owners of this county go broke.ryran you are a good christian man and i hope you will run in the future for another office if you choose.now we must get the rest of the school board out. Well your definition of 'barely' is odd when one considers the statistics. Based on the votes cast, Danny won 55.8% of the vote compared to 44.2% won by Ryran. A 10% margin of victory is pretty big. Lets face it, it wasn't a recount margin of victory, it was pretty definitive.

As for the current performance of the school board, rubber stamping everything with little or no consideration is hardly leadership. The point of this whole exercise is to elect leaders, not 'yes men'.

Who did not hardly compaign? You must not have seen what I saw in Ryran. He worked hard on this campaign. I spoke with Ryran on more than one occasion while he was out campaigning.

as a matter of fact I do, his certificate was suspended for a week based on the fact that he bought her a cell phone and paid for the bill. He claims he was counseling her. Yeah if that is not a load of crock I don't know what is. It became a he said she said with the only real evidence being the cell phone. With that all they could do was suspend his certificate. The man is a liar and a pervert. I have known him personally for years and there is no way I would ever let my children around him. So yes I do know the facts. Why what did his website tell you!!!!!

I believe Lamar County would have been a winner no matter who won the district 2 comm. Congragulations Charles Glass. I believe the voters had a tuff choice to make.
