WHO KILLED THE E-VERIFY IN THE STIMULUS PACKAGE? Thought the whole idea of the Stimulus bill was to support, the millions of unemployed AMERICAN WORKERS. Instead Speaker Pelosi and Senator Harry Reid in secret and no discussion killed E-Verify. It would have stopped illegal aliens getting jobs. Instead shows you that Politicians are still puppets of big business and the special interest lobbyists. E-Verify costs pennies instead of $ Billions to function?
THE SO CALLED US CHAMBER OF COMMERCE PANDERS TO FOREIGN GOVERNMENTS.
HOW MANY BILLIONS OF DOLLARS COULD BE SAVED, IF US TAXPAYERS WERE NOT FORCED TO PAY FOR EDUCATION, HEALTH CARE AND OTHER GOVERNMENT BENEFITS, INCLUDING AN OVERCROWDED PRISON SYSTEM.
ALL THIS TO BENEFIT PREDATORY BUSINESSES WHO HIRE ALIENS OVER AMERICANS.

Somehow we were told we did not need manufacturing jobs, all we need to do is let the people at the top run free and have all the money they wanted without control and we would all become wealthy by trickle down.
We allowed our economy to become money motivated and based on consuming, with the people in power being able to do what they like. We gave all the tax breaks to the people who could afford to pay taxes the most.
This is why we are in the mess we are in, not because of a stimulus plan. The stimulus is small peanuts compared to the financial rape of the middle class that we have allowed over the past 20-30 years.
Look at the stupid things we do locally. We pay mexicans who ship the money out of the country to move a sidewalk 18 inches, making the sidewalk less useful. We install artificial turf in a multi-million dollar stadium in a school that can't turn out kids who can count change or read or write, and we wonder why taxes are high.
We all wanted NAFTA and now Carters manufacturing is gone, but we whine and complain because the few thousand people that worked there bringing money in from all over the country don't have another job. Where are they supposed to work? What are we thinking?
Instead of an accurate truthful article, we get one that blames the state we are in on helping the poor people and not helping the rich.
The real reason we are in the state we are in is because we waste money on fluff and feeling good and show. We let our jobs all leave the country. We allowed the people at the top to do whatever they wanted to make money, no matter how bad the idea was for us all.
We can't fix the economy while we all think wasting money on fluff creates jobs, or that the people with the money will make good decisions for anyone but themselves.
Reaganomics...I miss hearing that word.
I feel utterly hopeless and suicidal at times.
My daughter and I are about to go homeless. I am sure their are other people out there like me. I used to be middle class, have a degree and still can't get a job no matter how hard I look. When I called all the agencies in Denver for rental assistance, they said they had no funds. My family doesn't give a damm about me or my daughter. This is the reality of poverty. If Obama's stimulus plan is to help poor people, I want to know where the money is. In this state, it is a big secret.
I worked my whole life so I am not a typical lifer on welfare. The state of CO does nothing for me. Noone does except my daughter and we are going down. I don't think either one of us could stand being homeless. These people who worry about their mortgages should see how it really is to be poor and worry themself sick about having a roof over their head. They could always get an ap't like so many of the rest of us do. Obama should have emergency financial assistance for me and my brothers and sisters who are in the same dilemma
