Lately, even the most elite in media have started to report some of the intended and unintended consequences of the rushed and ill-conceived federal health care bill passed earlier this year by the Barack Obama administration and the Democrat-controlled Congress.

A mountain of paperwork….get real! You are talking about just a few clicks on a keyboard. Folks are having problems finding a physician because the old school doctors are retiring and the present-day physicians are skimming the cream of the crop. It isn’t just recently the doctors baulked at receiving Medicare. It’s been going on for decades. This whole article is a real streach.

Typical Towery fluff piece. Because it says "Obama" in a negative connotation, Republicans eat this stuff up like corn dogs at the county fair. Can't blame them, though, they were just "sloppy" when they were in control. No harm, no foul, right?

I wish people would wake up and see what Obama is doing. There is stuff buried in all of the biils they have passed. They are slowly turning us into a socialist nation and the futre is a scary thing. We need to stand up and fight for our way of life.

People who stand around wanting someting for nothing from government can't see past the tip of their fingers.

Take away personal responsinility and promise everything even when they are lies and people will trip all over themselves tring to get in line.

That's what youth has been taught so it can only get worse.

First of all, Obama hasn't passed any bills. Secondly, ALL legislation has perks and pork built in, and this has happened no matter which party holds the majority in Congress. The fact that you are just getting mad about all this shows that you needed to wake up a long time ago.

Im glad obama had a chance to talk to the national urban league about the great race divide and giving more money to black colleges...woohoo! Glad he keeps making it hard for white kids...Why not give money to white schools? Im sorry, I forgot. There are no all white schools.

My step daughter, who is 33, is a college graduate. She has worked all her adult life, mostly with disadvantaged or troubled kids, but her latest job did not provide paid health insurance. She let coverage lapse a year or so, finally managed to get where she paid off her truck and could health coverage, but now found out she has multiple ovarian cysts. After surgery her health insurance determined by the size of the cysts it was a pre-existing condition, and now she is stuck with the full bill after paying insurance for several months, so she will probably go bankrupt as an only choice.

We have a wonderful system. The best in the world. It bankrupts people who worked hard all their lives, but who cares about that.

It's "democratic controled congress". If you are going to publish in newspapers, please stop embarrasing yourselves. Also, it's the "democratic party" for future reference. Tell your friends at FOX. Ask an English professor. Buy a clue. Come on already.

It’s not a democrat controlled congress if they can’t stop a filibuster. The GOP “The party of No”, has this country by the throat and it’s not about what’s good for the country but what’s going to get them back in power.

For everyone that thinks the comming laws will not affect them, you are hiding your head in the sand and have a one tract mind.
This congress and your god like pres. are spending us into oblivion. Those of you that carry this mans water now owe the gov. $119,000.00 each. This is for every man woman and child in this country.
Its scary to read some of your thoughts--all you have are ten second sound bites that you believe is the gospel. Read the bills and then come back and say this is the best thing since snuff.
Beverly--you voted for the change you can believe in, but I was at the meeting, and you said don't cut any services or jobs, but they are going to have to do something about taxes--you can not have it both ways. Remember you voted for this crap, so don't gripe.

What???So now doctors can determine not to take on new medicare patients but yet will still take on medicaid patients. This is totally rediculous!!!!!!!!!! As now the baby boomer generation is coming up on the age for medicare where will they turn to find a doctor. Remember all you little whimps it was the baby boomers that got you every thing you enjoy and you will be old one day too Lord willing, then you will feel the same way we do. Stop giving to these welefare people! And start taking care of the ones that worked hard all their lives and paid into the system.
