Part seven in a serialization of interviews published on the 26th anniversary of the brutal murder of Donna Johnson:

Vickie Green Harris:

Vickie Green Harris, ex-wife of local law enforcement officer Cicero Green, was briefly the first wife of Donna Johnson’s widower Jimmy Johnson and a lifelong friend of Donna and her sister Becky Peterman.

“I’ve known Becky and Donna since we all went to church and Becky and I went to Milner school together. I still talk to Becky a lot, we’ve been good friends through the years. I know the pain this family has been through.

I love a rainy night was her favorite song, but it was the rainy night that has hampered this case so much. So ironic.

I am not real sure that a rainy night had so much to do with the hampering of this case as it has been a shelter of blame for blunders. I am going to think positive myself. I hope Karma is making her rounds and she has revealing news for B'ville.

I bet if someone or organization puts up a 100k dollar reward or there about someone will come forward with key evidence. I dont believe for one minute that the person that done this never told anyone. It would eat them alive. You have to have someone to share info with. Money talks and bull crap walks. I say John Walsh needs to jump on the bandwagon.

untill this sheriff and his adminstration is gone and someone who is not a member of the so called GOOD old boys group get in office i fear we will not see any arrest.

Is the GBI part of your beloved good ol boys? Arent they over this case?

You diminish everything that has been done in this case, trying to give the glory to someone who did not take anyone to trial. Why dont you support law enforcement, you know, the real guys? No one is perfect, as this case obviously shows, past or present. I think everyone would like an end to this except the killer himself. Save the campaigning for later, when it might matter. At the present, it does not.
Look at it from a different view...How great would it be for someone from the present adminisrtation to solve this case? It would be wonderful for everyone involved. I seriously doubt, anyone would be protecting the killer or killers. I really dont think the GBI would be protecting someone...what do they have to gain? Consider how many people would have to be involved in protecting someone. If that were the case, out of all the people in law enforcement, I dont think they all are part of the good ol boys system. Someone would have spoken up by now.

I agree. Every time this tragedy is brought up all some people want to do is cut down whatever sheriff is in office. GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!This poor lady cries out from her grave for justice! If all you want to do is gripe about how you think you got screwed, why dont you stop for a minute and try to think about what Donna went through. And for my spelling critics out there, kiss my A#######.

Everytime the case resurfaces, I believe Donna (or her angel) is speaking to us in some way telling us not let this go. We will never stop until there is an arrest in this case.

The statement reads, at the next court date.
What court date is Vickie referring to and who was to be in court and for what? I didn't realize this case had ever been to court for any reason.
