Mrs. Tamara Jacobs Bell, 59, of Barnesville passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010 in an Upson County health care facility. All services for Mrs. Tamara Jacobs Bell will be private.

Words cannot express the loss I feel in my heart for my good friend Tamara Jacobs. She was one of the kindest and giving people I know in her private life. She gave alot of her professional time as an attorney representing people from all walks of life. May you rest in peace Tammy. You will be greatly missed.

I did not know Tammy personally, but my sister-in-law knew her well. We as a Church would like to tell the family how much they will be in our prayers. I know she was a good woman and that her family loved her dear. God Bless You all.

Tammy and her husband bought our home when we left Barnesville back in 2001. Barnesville/Lamar County has definitely suffered a devastating loss with her passing. You wouldn't find a more upright, upstanding, and caring individual. She once told me that, regardless of how slimy the crime was, that everyone deserves a good defense attorney - this was a comment that I've never forgotten. Dennis & Boys, my heart breaks and weeps for you. May God bring you the comfort that only He can give during such a sad time as this.

I knew Tammy when she first moved to Thomaston. She was my friend through her job with Thomaston Times, through law school and for a few years afterward until distance parted us. I stood beside her as she was sworn in as an attorney in Upson County. She was a wonderful person and I'm sure an outstanding wife and mother. She knows that I love her.
