I frequent the (so called) local bar scene, and am not aware of any meth problem or sales. Most of the people there are hard working blue collar people. You may be speaking of Horton's but as for the other two of the three, a meth problem does not exist. I think you should look at who is giving you this information.
If you look carefully you will see the people who can get you meth. They generally look like blue collar people, but are a little different in the marks on the face and their skin sores that may not have healed properly......Its easy to find someone associated with meth. If you look up from the bar every now and then you will be surprised the trash that is probably in there with you. I have seen the so called bar scene here too....it's loaded with readily drugs.
I do look up from the bar and converse with as well as know these people personally. Trust me when I say the owners and managers would not put up with such behavior. What drugs are you talking about, the ones pushed by the so called doctors? If that's the case I'm inclined to believe you.
Excellent article. Lamar co. must address this problem head on. Meth is a complicated issue and the cause of immeasurable suffering. It is sickening to see the meth dealer get a lighter sentence because it is a first offence. It adds insult to injury to those of us who have seen loved ones destroyed or burried because of this drug. It's a slap in the face to dedicated law enforcement who have done their part to fight this epidemic, often risking their lives just to see those guilty walk away. Selling this poison is slow murder, nothing less.
You must do everything in your power to fight it. Know what to look for in your children. Force rehab if you need to, even if they hate you for it. You don't wish meth addiction away. Visit http://www.kci.org/meth_info. You can learn so much there.
Mr. McWhorter made some very good points. I hope this newspaper will make kci.org a link easily accessible to all readers. Knowledge is a powerful weapon. Call the task force and inform for free. The DA can make deals with informants that include serious drug rehab for users and serious prison time for dealers. Some deals are worth making. This is a matter of life and death and it should be treated as such.
funny why are you scared McCreary will get you like he did so many others! ha.stupid you are just like the other few idots. McCreary did a great job for Lamar County, you must be a criminal or a jealous Waller supporter. good job Walter getting the truth.
thanks!
