If one digs a bit deeper, this is troubling. This is another incident of the Federal Government weasling it's way into a sovereign state under the guise of doing good. Once the feds are allowed, by the Sheriff, to come and "help" it is very difficult to remove them. I wonder if there was any federal funding offered for this endeavor. I wonder if the present and past county sheriffs have accepted any federal funding at all.
The Sheriff of any county in the U.S. is the most powerful elected official in that county. He/she has the power to disallow the federal government from entering and operating in the county. All he has to do is say "NO".
During these tough economic times, it is difficult not to accept any funding from the feds, but in order to retain our freedom, we must insist the county take no federal dollars to operate law inforcement.
If, indeed, there is federal monies being taken by this sheriff, our freedom and sovereignty from an out of control federal government is threatened and we must find a qualified sheriff who is not obliged to do "favors" for the feds. We must find a sheriff who is sworn to the Constitution of the United States and to protect the people of the county from any tyranny that may be inflicted upon its citizens by what is perceived as a higher authority.
Certainly, Sheriff Waller could have intiated this same operation without any federal involvment at little to no cost.
Former Sheriff Richard Mack of Graham County Arizona has a wonderful book called, "The County Sheriff...America's Last Hope" I wish could be read by all law enforcement.
I do know someone who fits the bill though.
He is a good man, believes in the constitution and is tough as nails.
People, you can get rid of your old medicine yourself.
Put them all in a box or bag with some paper, add some lighter fluid and burn them. Don't flush them because they are getting in our water supply.
Why not just get rid of meds that you dont want instead of taking them there. Makes no sense to me.
This may be a set up folks. Back years ago when you had to have a marijuana tax stamp they would not issue you a stamp unless you had the weed in your possession. Well guess what, when you went to get the stamp with the weed in your possession they arrested you because you didnt have a stamp. Another form of govnt corruptness. They will watch your cars pull in there and you will probably be harrassed or watched. LOL
This is the stupidest thing i have ever heard of. If you arent violating anyones constitutional rights and you want to take pills, go right ahead. If you want to get off of pills and need some help, go to a rehabilitation place here in Barnesville or Jackson.
In reality, LOL is right.
Epinephrine,
Isosorbide dinitrate,
Nicardipine,
Nitroglycerin and Insulin. WE CAN MAKE OUR COUNTY A SAFER PLACE.
When the parents want to get help they will. There are plenty of places that will give all the physical and emotional support to those that want to kick the habit.
Will the price be significantly reduced?
Seriously, is there a family out there anywhere that cannot get rid of their own old medicine? This is almost too crazy to believe.
Our President just does not have any major problems does he?
If you will also bring your guns with you, Operation Pill Drop Off will take those also. No questions asked.
What a totally stupid idea. obama does not miss a trick. Bring your bullets also, no questions asked. You get a lollipop if you bring pills, pot and a firearm. Be stupid and show up for this Federal, Tax-Paid Round-up.
Ron with Comment number 1, says it best.
