With lamar having a 50% or higher black population versus 14% in pike you would think that they would accel in certain sports. on the flip side of things, I wonder what pike co test scores are compared to LC. Hhhhhmm?

How was it racist? Look up the definition and let me know. Black people are more athletic because their genetics and build are different from caucasions. They are a different breed. You can line up 10 whites and 10 blacks and look at their leg structure and you can see a huge difference. They are made different. There is nothing racial about it. Im not saying blacks are bettert than whites as a race or vice versa. Im just stating the facts. Blacks are good running backs, recievers. IMO there are only a few great black quarter backs. The majority of great quarter backs are white.

Ok. I decided to do my homework since no one else wanted to prove my point for me. The test scores are as follows.

Now is the EOCT. Note Lamar co was below to well below the national average on every single one of these scores. Pike co was above.

Yeah L.C. is one of the most improved schools in AA with our test scores. I am proud of what's going on here in Lamar in our school system.

Pike is just mad because they got beat and found out that they aren't as good as they thought they were. My prediction is that they won't make it to the playoffs.

Lamar did improve from 09 to 2010. Pike co is still higher in scores or percentages of passed GHSGT.

I find that odd that Lamar county has sucked so bad over the past years and all of a sudden their test scores jump up a good bit. You cant get people to just all of a sudden learn all this stuff within a matter of a few months. I cant put my finger on it but something isnt right.

I have watched this video about a dozen times. And listened very closely with headphones and have yet to hear the "N" word in it. I agree, and another thing i would like to bring to everyone's attention is how the band is only allowed to play whenever the coaches say so. the game we played against the eagles two weeks the band hardly played. the cheerleaders do not stop cheering, the football players do not stop playing. Why should the band stop battling? football is a sport of variety and that variety consists of three sports: cheer-leading, football, and marching band. the band has never been too loud to disrupt the football players and coaches before that game two weeks ago. In fact i feel the band motivates the team to win just as the cheerleaders do. in some ways the band is like an extension of the cheerleaders when in the stands. i must say that one of the interesting parts of going to the game is watching our band compete with the other band. i believe that if i spend seven dollars to attend a game i should have the right as a spectator to enjoy all the options of entertainment that is supposedly allowed to me.

Can someone please explain to me the trend of the dreads in the south. It has to be hot. There is no way it is sanitary. All kinds of stuff can get trapped and caught up in there. It stinks. Its terrible looking.

Perhaps this post would be easier to read if it had some kind of punctuation. Maybe a comma, maybe a period, perhaps the use of a capital letter here and there might help.

As for Dr. Truby, he is a wonderful man, what he does or does not approve has nothing to do with this video. I still say it is ridiculous, even if he approved it.

Yes, and Truby has such a yellow streak up his back that you would think it was Dorothy trying to find her way back home. And that is the reason there is so much fallacy @ LCCHS in regards of administration, education, and the public persona of the representation of our youth in Lamar County. If emphasis is placed on appointing a certain race in leadership positions, then the quality of education goes spiraling down. It should not matter the color of an administrator only the quality of their work, experience, and leadership abilities. I am completely exasperated hearing the LCES assistant principal recorded message on my answering machine. It is a blanketed message about upcoming events, but it is full of grammatical errors. How can we expect our kids to rise and excel academically if we lower the standards in the name of affirmative action. Did you know:

1)Affirmative action leads to reverse discrimination.
2)Affirmative action lowers standards of accountability needed to push students or employees to perform better.
3)Students admitted on this basis are often ill-equipped to handle the schools to which they've been admitted.
4)It would help lead a truly color-blind society.
5)It is condescending to minorities to say they need affirmative action to succeed.
6)It demeans true minority achievement; i.e. success is labeled as result of affirmative action rather than hard work and ability.
7)Once enacted, affirmative actions are tough to remove, even after the underlying discrimination has been eliminated.
If you do not want to believe the facts at hand,visit our high school and elementary school.
And Truby emphasis is "Read them, raise them, reach them." What a joke!

The bottom line is, this wasn't about test scores or poverty or race or or any other drama you people want to throw in there. It was about a football game. And Lamar County won. 20-17. GAME OVER!!!

To the Pike coaches and boosters who painted LC and put up the LC flag in the middle of the field and blamed it on LC folks, nice motivational ploy to piss off and fire up your players but it did not work. The ironic thing is, your players and coaches still had to see that when they went to practice today. =cD

Haha, now that's funny! I bet LC did go over there and do that if the field was painted. I don't see someone from Pike painting the grass. I can see a coach or whomever putting up a flag and saying we did it, but not paint.

Regardless, it was about FOOTBALL and not how thuggish or how bad our test scores are. We won, so stop crying and get over it. Pike needs to start worrying about Northeast this week because I'm sure they will come ready to play. They will run all over that Pike defense. Crawford better be ready for us because our defense is going to hit them hard.

A football game is what it is - a football game. neither team is going to win a state title in football anytime soon. Why has it become a political forum ? Because LC won? Because PC lost? It is just a game. As far as education goes, I really think both systems are doing better than most. Just keep a sense of pride between the county lines and strive to represent to the best of your abilities outside of the county lines.

The bottom line is, Lamar county has too many thug gangster wannabe idiots that have now took over the majority percentage wise. Once again. I am from Barnesville and been here all my life. From Brinkleys day care all the way to Gordon College and everything between. This town has and is going down hill every single year. I have a video for you to watch so that you can look at this for yourself. Notice the english or lack thereof that is used. Look at all the hooping and hollering and bouncing around. Can you imagine what that highschool is like changing classes? The sad thing is, many of these parents condone this type of behavior or it wouldnt be displayed openly as it is. If you are one of the few that has children that dont act like this, you should be ashamed for your community or you ethnic group.

please understand that the song is for young people... not all young people in general but among the more popular music types is that of the song in the video... it excites those who find it entertaining; it gets the youth pumped for another game... it shows school spirit, and community spirit... go trojans! if it would please everyone perhaps there are more types of music we could make songs to, but even then we would still have those who the song does not appeal to. besides if one was to really be looking into a home here would they not find something better to persuade them then a song? and i must also add that sometimes comments are placed on this website that are far from appropriate and if anything on this site compelled a person not to move here it would be the striking comments....
