Republican gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino told Orthodox Jewish leaders on Sunday he doesn't want children "brainwashed into thinking that homosexuality" is acceptable.

I certainly hope it helps him. Our American morals are basically gone. We could use a few elected officials that promote logical thinking. I, for one, think that when God said "Go forth, be fruitful and multiply, he did not mean "AIDS."

CDC statistics show that 73% of persons living with a diagnosis of HIV infection are male adults or adolescents. Over half of men diagnosed with HIV became infected through male-to-male sexual contact.

I believe you have your facts wrong, Ms. Tolley. The disease of AIDS does not stem from homosexuality. Nor does it target only homosexuals. If this were true, thousands of heterosexual men and women world wide would not be affected by the disease.
Furthermore, this country was based on religious and social freedom. Yes, founded under the Christian God, but founded upon religious freedom and tolerance. It is ethically unsound and wholly un-America to force one's viewpoints on someone else. Though Christian doctrine dictates the sin of homosexuality, the Constitution states freedom- in all it's forms. Thus, no body of government can truly tell another human HOW to live, or with whom. Frankly, you all should be ashamed. As a Christian, I know in my heart Christ would not cast such harsh, negative judgments on others. Let us allow these people to live how they would like. They shall get their judgment in the end. Not from us, but from the Lord.

The White House released its strategy on HIV/AIDS Tuesday morning, focusing on lowering infection rates by 25% in the next five years, according to officials.

The new strategy will direct more resources toward African-Americans and gay and bisexual men. The policy will also focus on Latinos and substance abusers. The 60-page report notes the number of new infections in the United States has been static, but the number of people living with HIV is growing.

"We must reorient our efforts by giving much more attention and resources" to those four groups, who are the "populations at highest risk," the report reads.

At a press conference Tuesday afternoon, Domestic Policy Council director Melody Barnes and Health and Human Services secretary Kathleen Sebelius spoke about the new policy. The two rattled off numerous statistics, one of the most disturbing from Sebilius: that nearly half of gay, African-American men are HIV positive.

President Obama will speak more on the new policy at a press conference Tuesday afternoon. Check back to Advocate.com for coverage.

Do you think maybe heterosexuals could have been married to someone that was leading a double life??? Wake up and smell the coffee.. I have friends that had no idea their husbands were getting it on with another man. They are divorced now , but get themselves checked yearly hoping they don't end up with aids. By the way, 2 of the ex husbands have aids now. Read about the Roman Empire and what made them fall. If this country doesn't shape up and return back to God it will happen to us. I agree with what Paladino said. At least , he is honest and not straddling the fence for votes. I don't think it will hurt him. I think alot of the silent majority will be going to the polls cleaning house this November.

You are right anon. Every empire that has fallen in the Western World had it's roots in men prancing around like women and woman who think they can grow beards and testicles. From Babylon, Ancient India, Greece, Rome, United States and so on....I just don't understand how it's perfectly right to correct a child who steals and lies but it's okay for a child to walk around thinking he/she is of the opposite sex. If you are a true christian and believe in the bible then you know that homosexuality is not acceptable. The Bible plainly states that it is a sin for a man to lie down with a man. To me that means that it is against nature. Two people of the same sex cannot have children and that is why God made a man and a woman.

Oppressive treatment of others and a haughty attitude are considered as "abomination" in Proverbs 3: 31 - 32, and a "froward heart" is again mentioned in Proverbs 11:20. I wonder if some of the attitudes of conservative Christians towards gay people might not fall into these categories of "abominations."
According to the bible most of us are abominations in the eyes of God..My sin is no more evil than yours.

The fact of the matter is that we should not judge others because they are different. You may not like the fact that a person is gay, but they should also not be discriminated or bashed for it. I think we should be a little more accepting of people's differences. Just because someone is different from you doesn't automatically mean they're wrong. The world will be a lot better off once we realize that.

My God is at every car wreck but also at every parade. He knows all. I do not question God, NEVER. I often question some of the humans who used 3000 years to get the Bible so that it passed King James' inspection. He was just saying what would get him votes or maybe pandering to the mindset of those he was giving a speech to. God is an imaginary friend for grown-ups. Nothing wrong with it I guess. Some people simply cant deal with the fact that they will not always exsist. False hope but whatever floats your boat! Life is short. Live & love like you will die tomorrow....and try to keep your weaner out of your buddys arse.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son; that whosoever believeth in me shall not perish, but have everlasting life. God loved us that much.
