Lamar County voters go to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 2 to cast ballots in the general election.

Polling places countywide will be open from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Well, well, well...Pearlene, maybe we need to get the state to visit your place of employment to check on what you are frying up. By the way, if you'd spend less time gossiping you wouldn't burn bacon like you did when I was in there the other day.

Why must you resort to name calling Pearlene? Can you not take the truth? If you take pride in your job and the establishment you work for, I would think you would want to keep customers. After all, customers are how you get paid. Does the owner know that you tell customers to go eat somewhere else? Oh, FYI, I'm a very good cook. I happen to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, and I wouldn't dare serve overcooked food unless the person eating it requested it that way.

Good morning, C.O.C. The number for Huddle House Corporate office is 770-325-1300. You sound like the kind that follows through to resolve problems. I actually called and said something nice about this witch because I did not want to cause a person to lose their job. I will call and correct that mistake if you will call and report comment 1.1.1.1 ans 1.1.1.1.1.1. There is probably no one named Pearline working there, if so, it was a very poor managerial choice.

Actually, we heard someone in the h.h. call her by "pearl" and that's when I started watching her. Of course, by that time my hubby was trying to eat his overcooked bacon. I'd be more than happy to report such a lack of concern over customer satisfaction. I'm sure in this bad economy, there are plenty of people who would gladly take Pearlene's job and do it with pride.

We have no choices...I simply refuse to cast my vote for the "lesser of two evils", I'll just pass on the governors race and pray the Lord will work in their heart to do what is right for this state. In addition if an ammendment means spending then it's a no for me, doesn't matter how "worthy".

abbycadabby, Your prayer has worked! I just received an overwhelming epiphany urging me to cast aside mid term voting doldrums and VOTE.

I felt the same as you about the race for governor until I read your comment displaying such voter apathy. You helped me realize I should not sit out an opportunity to VOTE for our next governor.

My wife and I will help your prayer along and VOTE tomorrow. My sweet wife will cast a VOTE for Deal. In your honor, I will add my VOTE for Deal to make it "2 Alcars for Deal" and "zero for abbycadabby and Barnes".

Jesus does answer prayers. My first prayer was that Call N. Alcars would return to bless us with his very entertaining blogs. My second prayer was that Barnes would be able to stay at at home with his illegal cows on his parcel of land.

Maybe now the jerk will realize that rules do apply to politicians just as they do the voting public.

If you haven't seen the address from the Rally for Sanity, then you should really check it out on youtube. I had a facebook friend post a link, but don't have it handy right now. It really is worth watching. And no, he didn't swing it left or right. He advocated thoughtful decision making in the politcial process.

first on the agenda is getting the democrats out of office. If the republicans screw up, make the Tea party the serious third party. A huge movement is just a few steps in front of us.
