Five alleged local air conditioner thieves are at the heart of a dispute involving the Griffin Police Dept. and the Griffin circuit district attorney’s office.

Theives are theives no matter what they do and what they steal. They should spend time in jail and make restitution to the companies and people they have robbed. I konw times are hard but that doesn't make it acceptable.
Prosecute them and make them pay.

Ballard allegedly testified as a character witness to help Jeff Allen, his church friend, gain release on parole. Thing is, Jeff Allen was in prison for child molestation and Ballard had just been elected Fayette district attorney. Mr. Allen returned to the same district (Fayette) on parole thanks to Ballard. I thought our D.A. was supposed to help protect his district?

So, yeah, he is soft on crime....and he will even drive to south georgia to help child diddlers re-offend.

BTW Jeff Allen is back incarcerated. I guess Ballard has a bad character radar.

how about instead of blowing money on other things, (fire dept, football field, sign at arts building, etc) build a bigger jail or get the county to set a "tint city" up in this county and house these idiots in a tent and work the mess out of them.

The bank is empty. Fill it up with wannabe plea bargainers. But as soon as you make the deposit, Milam will make the withdrawal. He would get them out so fast that you would have a bounced convict.

Why is there such a collection of slackers in the DA offices and our local Sheriff office? Is it because they get paid the same no matter how much they work or are grossly underpaid? Anyone know?

The many under the table favors that change hands. One crooked hand washes the other. When injustice starts rolling downhill, it gets bigger and bigger like a snowball. As the favors multiply for the people who can afford to make pay offs, those voters feel obligated to keep the crooks in office in case they need them again.

Erase the board of injustice in two years and start over.

Once upon there was someone who felt threatened by shelia. This person would spend it's days responding in constant protest. One day, the person went and got a shrink and got all of their hatefulness out. And shelia did the same as well.
