Sheriff's report

Between Saturday, Dec. 18, and Friday, Dec. 24, the Lamar County sheriff’s office made the following arrests:
Kevin Roy Pippin, 38, Culloden, aggravated battery, obstructing or hindering a 911 call, false imprisonment, two counts family violence battery, two counts terroristic threats and acts and aggravated assault;
Ernesto Lopez-Herrera, 33, Barnesville, DUI alcohol;
Brandon Chase Lynch, 19, Milner, obstruction of an officer;
Jeremy Michael Reeves, 35, Morgan, probation violation;
Jennifer Marie Medders, 28, Jackson, under investigation;
James Lofton Busby III, 34, Jackson, possession, sale, purchase or manufacture of methamphetamine, drugs not in original container, driving while license suspended or revoked, tag violation, no proof of insurance, obstruction of an officer and possession of drug-related object.

Deputies answered 102 calls and the 911 center answered 75. Deputies responded to 19 calls, the Barnesville police department responded to 21, Lamar County fire department to 20, Barnesville fire department to one and Mid Georgia Ambulance to 35.
There were 11 accidents. Deputies issued 23 traffic citations and served 18 warrants and eight subpoenas or civil papers.

She covered up last time he was in jail, less than 2 weeks prior to this arrest for the exact same thing. Surprised this one actually made it to the media. Guess when you about kill the same person twice, its only fair your name gets released.

You must not be from Lamar County. If you live in Lamar, you know the Pipen's very well. Nothing like this stays quiet in this small town, no matter how much they would like it to.

damn, ole pippin sounds like worthy with these charges it may take milam three years to whittle this one down to nothing, oh no, and he will be gone in one more year milam may need to go on overtime we cant let Roy boy serve time now can we so little time so many deals

I hope the plea deal is for guilty to the felony charge and is not dropping the felony charge for pleas to the misdemeanors.

I guess he is not as "untouchable" as he thought he was, when it comes to the law and Lamar County. He might have got by with murdering that dog and beating the other one half to death but mama can only protect you so much. Looks like Ms. Pippin has created a monster, by protecting him when he did wrong. Maybe he is going to realize he is not above the law. What goes around comes around. Throw the book at him.

I certainly hope they prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law.

Has anyone bothered to ask if the victim is doing okay? As a victim of domestic violence, my heart goes out to whomever it was.

Is he still in jail? He needs to stay awhile and then go get some major help and then back for trial. Feel for his family and yes even for his mother. Sometimes we love our children too much.

It's me...nobody even said it was domestic violence. He just beat the hell out of someone bad enough where he could be charged with this. and I'll put it out there. Milam was scared of Worthy becuase he was black and feared Jessie Jackson coming to Barnesville.

The grand jury let mr. worthy off not mr milam.
He had nothing to do with it. It was grand jury. Around 16 citzens. We had new evidence.

You have no new evidence..you have manipulated evidence. How stupid can people be? Do you think it takes three years to find new evidence? The taxpayers and Nathaniel Rooks were screwed over by the B'ville judicial system.

"Worthy was indicted in September 2009 on false imprisonment, aggravated assault and pointing a pistol at another. Worthy is accused of pointing the pistol at Nathaniel Rooks and threatening him on Nov. 11, 2008, while hunting. Rooks testified Worthy ordered him to lie face down on the grass and forced him at gunpoint to roll away from his rifle and toss away his cell phone."

I hope God lets me live long enough to see crooked law officials, retired and current, in pink cuffs.

I can read. And with these charges, there is a victim. Family violence is domestic violence.
