Domestic dispute leaves Spalding man dead

A Spalding County man was stabbed to death during a domestic dispute Sunday night. The killing was deemed a justifiable homicide.

why would it go to the grand jury if no charges will be filed and it was a justifiable homicide? seems like a waste of taxpayer money.

If this is what the 18 year old has been witnessing thru the years, I think mandatory therapy would be in order.
I can see my taxpayer dollars being spent to assist him, rather than toss my dollars away on a grand jury presentment.

Absolutely justifiable. To a grand jury with common sense. Maybe that will happen in Griffin. That location is leaning in the Barnesville direction, but maybe cross contamination has not happened.

It is sad that the child has probably lived 18 years in this crappy environment.

Good job mother and son. Deadly force is 100% ok as long as three things are in place. Ability, opportunity, and jeopardy. 2 out of 3 are no good. Has to be all 3. If you fear for your life or another persons life you are justified.

This is MOST LIKELY a case in which a lady should have said "To Hell with you" to the husband at least 18 years ago. The child's life has been ruined no matter how this turns out. He has probably witnessed a life of few smiles and frequent fights.

SAD!

People who condone abuse are disgusting. They are enablers to guarantee abusive future generations. One who allows abuse to children needs to be euthanized.

Why is it that the Barnesville paper says it's going to the Grand Jury but the Griffin paper says no charges are going to be brought per the District Attorney's office? Things that make you go Hmmmm?
