Spalding County sheriff's investigators have arrested three men on armed robbery and a host of other charges after the allegedly held up four customers at a convenience store.

I got just one question???? Who are the parents and why are they not being charged??

Seems to me you are quick to blame the Parents but what about your arrest in May 2009 should your parents be held accountable for that.

I am very well aware of this case also involving Mr. Roberson. He indeed was arrested in May of 09. Thats all the paper said tho. It never explained that the charges were dropped due to insufficent evidence not to mention a particular officer that seemed to have it out for him. Amazingly enough the supposed victim disappeared, wouldn't speak with detectives or answer calls from the DA. Mr. Roberson spent 2 months in jail on a somewhat case that had no legs to stand on only to be given a bond of $10,000, post his bond and then recieve paperwork a week later saying that his case had been dismissed. Lamar County just wanted to get their money knowing they had nothing on this young man.

...Charged with what?...Giving birth to thugs?...
...The sad fact is, even if you DO teach children right from wrong, you DO take part in their lives, you DO try to keep them away from the 'wrong crowd'...when they become teenagers, and decide you really can't do much except talk harshly to them these days (thanks Dr Spock and a permissive society) they will do as they want...and if you raise a hand to them, YOU, dear parent, will be charged....
...'Call the Law' you say?...and tell them what, exactly...'My 15 year old told me to F*&$ off and wouldn't stay in his room like I tole 'im'...And what will 'the Law' do?...What can they do?....Give them the 'if you keep this up, you will end up behind bars' speech, which the teen will either a)ignore or b)think is a GOOD thing, so he/she can look more 'thuggish' to thier 'thug' friends....

....All that being said, these three 'thuggettes' were probably not raised in a healthy, happy, two-parent home......and that's a crying shame....

Charge their parents for what? What sense does that make. Lets give them a chance to earn a degree in fours years instead of sentencing them to long term prison sentences.

The only time we would have heard from the parents. Was if one of their victims had shot and killed on of these thugs in self-defense. Then the parents would have been yelling that their child was wrongfully shot.

I'm sure the 18 yr. old convinved the 2 younger ones "if" they did get caught, they would be tried as minors and get off lightly.

WRONG! they are headed for some serious time!

If false imprisonment carries a life sentence, how did Vernon Worthy not get charged by our previous sheriff for holding the Rooks boy at gunpoint while calling his buddies rathen than law enforcement?

Too bad that previous sheriff would not protect anyone who was openly against his re-election.

Because to be blunt, the december grand jury was led by D.A. instead of the grand jury leading him. The D.A. is a tool for the grand jury, not the reverse. I do believe if the december grand jury had done their jobs, Worthy would have had a true bill returned.

Because he knew Milam was not going to do S**t about it anyway. It just took Worthyless a little extra time. But he walked. EVEN AFTER HAVING AN INDICTMENT BROUGHT AGAINST HIM! The SOB walked! He and Gretchen...arm in arm.

Thugs thugs thugs. Have public hangings and charge a fee to view it. Sell snacks, drinks, and other things to generate money.
This type of behavior is glorified by the rap industry and these people with low IQs try to act out this lifestyle. Some people will disagree with me but actions speak louder that words. There is a trend moving across the black community over the last 15-20 years. They are a minority yet are a majority of ones encarcerated.

I never said that one race is better than others. The fact is, a trend is taking over the black community with this type of behavior. Yes, there are low IQ citizens of all races, yes there are other races that sell and use drugs. No one will disagree with that statement. We are talking about the majority of people encarcerated in the Georgia Dept of Corrections and other states for that matter, are blacks. WHY? What is causing this massive take over in the prison system. Why are the majority of crimes that are being commited, done by blacks. This is a study that really should be sought after. Its sad and I could only imagine how the parents must feel. What causes this mindset in these people for it to be a epidemic like this. Watch channel 2 news and start a poll on crime and have 3 races. Hispanic, whites, and blacks.

These guys could have been pro athletes,
doctors, lawyers, librarians, astronauts,

Stop pointing the finger at the parents! You can raise your kids right but when they get out on their own they do as they please. My child is a prime example he was raised and taught right from wrong, was not allowed to run the streets or hang with the wrong crowd but now his choice is to live and run with low life trash and he has two children who are being raised by their mother in a life of filth. You might want to blame the DEFACS people because they have been reported several times but to no avail. They always told me that they can do nothing about the children being raised in filth and exposed to the degenerates that their mother runs with. I have reported them several times but they also tell me that the grandparents don't have a say in the way the children are raised. I wasn't trying to run their life but I hated seeing the way they are being raised and now its like I don't have any grandchildren because I can't stand the way that they smell and the way they are dressed. Looking like a bunch of street trash. I have given up because they now at the age of 17 and 14 they don't have and teaching about being respectful of themselves and others. Just another link in the chain on the welefare system.
