Lamar Arts will celebrate the life and works of local artist Virginia Louise Cherry Legge who died earlier this year Friday at the Depot Gallery in downtown Barnesville.

If it's any business of yours, Miss Virginia was cremated! She is not going to be buried! It would be nice if you would get the facts before you make such a statement! My mom was one of her dearest friends all the way back to their childhood!

I will always remember the favor Miss Virginia did for me by drawing the picture of my uncle. She was one of the nicest and classiest people in this town.

I could not attend today's memorial for my sister in law due to sickness. Virginia will be missed but her art will live on. I would like to think all of you in Barnesville who are helping my brother during this very are time for him. Thanks.
