Lamar deputy Jeannie Devane who was injured in a serious traffic accident last night is expected to be released from Atlanta Medical Center tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Dustin Elliott, the man who pulled her from her burning patrol car at the crash scene, is being hailed as a hero.
Dustin Elliott's initial 911 call from crash scene.
BTW guys, call him Dusty or Dud. That's what he calls himself.

I am very thankful that Deputy Devane is ok. Sounds like she had an amazing crew working with her. However, you can clearly hear how it was effecting everyone emotionally. My thoughts and prayers are with the Devane family and everyone else involved. Audio is provided by RadioReference. Dead air/unnecessary traffic removed for time restrictions.
And may God continue to bless Deputy Devane in her road to recovery as He has already blessed her with an angel in Dustin Eliot.
Glad to see such an uplifting story.

Dusty, you are so amazing and I am so proud of you! I know Papa Wilbur and Keith are very proud too! The courage and the heart that it took to act as quickly and fearlessly as you is inspirational.
Jeannie, I love you and I hope you get better very quickly! It's such a small world. Dusty is my cousin, and an outstanding man! I'm so glad God had him coming home the way he did at the time he did! Take care and get well soon!

I'm so thankful that you have blessed this Family as you have blessed mine!
Glad you are home and recovering Jeannie. We will continue to remember you in our prayers.
