Study: Lamar not healthy

A new health study released last week places Lamar County at 96th of 156 Georgia counties in measurements that determine whether the county is a healthy place to live.

well that is what you get when the only two companies that offer insurance to their employees are the schools or the city

We need more sidewalks in town, and wouldn't bike paths be great?
We all need more fresh air, sunshine and exercise.

Lamar places last in the list of healthiest Georgia counties to live in, if your a police dog or pizza delivery person.

Yeah we need more sidewalks and bike trails. But that is not going to stop people who go to micky d's to eat all the time. We need fresh air and lots of sunshine but with the couch potatoes of this generation it won't do much good. Because the grass don't grow where the sun don't shine and it definately doesn't shine piled up in front of the tv or on the computer. The only thing that grows is you hips. and they really do spread. We used to call our spreading hips the Carter's Mill spread. Now we have to call them micky d's spread.

put a limit on social freebies and eventually people will have to get off the couch and go to work. the majority of approvals of obama and the democrats come from career freebie seekers. not to be confused with those who get on the system but work to get back off as soon as they can. you know who you are - the ones who will respond negatively to this.

What a crock of meadow muffins, people will work if there were jobs. Sure there are those who are all too willing to take a handout but most are those who are just trying to survive. I admire and support a government that is willing to insure the middle class continues to thrive and I bet I triple your salary.
The problem with these right wing yahoos is that they have been drinking too much of their own Kool-Aid and are in a panic because they’ve been told that somebody out there is getting something for nothing and meanwhile all that is available to help them if the fall on their @$$ is now being taken away. The absurdity of these tea baggers is astounding.
