Christ is no longer a part of our lives. We allow things like BBQ/Blues to coincide and distract us from the holiest of all holidays. We are indifferent and dying. We live in a broken world. We elect lost leaders. We spend an astronomical amount of time and money searching for something to complete us - to make us whole. Yet, we turn away from the Breath of Life - the Creator of the heavens and earth. May God bless us all.
Maybe because there is always something ridiculous going on here? I agree with the rest of the folks, doing ANYTHING on top of Easter is irreverent, no matter how you slice it!
I have a dern right to complain about it since i'll have to hear the blasted mess from my home. Unless the city wants to give me some of my tax money back to go on vacation. Last year the powers that be let them play until past 1am.
The official, alternative event, known as BooHoos &Tudes: Whinefest 11 will be held at the ugly house at the corner of Thomaston and Gin..., er, Swatts streets beginning at, well, it runs 24/7/365. Join them and leave those of us who want to have fun alone.
Christ can be a part of your life in every way, every day - even when attending a festival on Easter weekend, Christmas day or July 4th. The only thing that can separate you from your Lord is you.
If you want to attend the festival but think you shouldn't because it is Easter weekend, then don't. It is up to you. Make your own choices and take responsibility for your own actions.
And stop complaining about everything!
I can't believe this guy actually believes what he is saying.
Why are people in this town always complaining?
