Services for Casey Amerine will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Williams Funeral Home.

This is a day to remember Casey, for the man he was and remember the fun and love that was felt by everyone he encounter. Casey was not the mental illness that took him from this land he was a child of God and God says if you are truly sorry for your sins then even with your last breath if you ask for forgiveness then God shell forgive and take you home. . May his family and friends find peace and love.

I am really cocern about the way things happen in this case has all of you in Barnesville should be conecerned.
1. is family called apox 6 hours letting the police/sheiff now he was not in the right state of mind, Maybe the pills he took had a great deal to play in this.BUT I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT MAYBE JUST MAYBE A HOSPITAL IS WHERE MY NEWPHEW SHOLD HAVE BEE TAKEN INSTEAD OF A CELL THAT WAS O
NOT THE BEST PLACE FROM HIM TO BE.
I WOULD REALLY WANT TO KNOW AS HIS UNCLE AND HIS FRIEND. WHY WAS HE NOT TRANSPOTED TO THE CLOSEST HOSPITAL WHICH THE LAW REQUIRES, WHY WAS HE NOT PLACED ON A SUICIDE WATCH AS A CALL WAS MADE 6 HOURS OR SO BEFORE BREAKING INTO THE DRUG STORE.
I WOULD HOPE THE POLICE OFFICER THAT PLACED HIM IN A JAIL CELL TO SOLVE A CRIME INSTEAD OF PROTECTING HIM UNTILL HE PROVEN GUILTY tHANKS BARNSVILLE POLICE/ SHEIEFF DEPT FOR BEING THE JUDGE JURY AND EXCUANOR , MAY A LITTLE INVESTIGATION COULD HAVE PREVENT THIS SENSELESS DEATH. CASEY YOUR UNCLE MARK WILL MISS YOU AND TRY TO MAKE THE BEST OF LIFE THE BARNSVILLE POLICE TOOK FROM YOU

You need to learn how to spell and take the caps off please. The police did the right thing. Your nephew was the one who chose his life of drugs and crime so spare us. The police did the right thing by putting him in jail first.

Let me tell you one thing you pompus butt. Lamar County did not do their job or Casey would have been taken by ambulance to the hospital instead of to Lamar County Sheriff Department. Due to the laceration on his arm and his stability at the time even sorry rear ends like the deputies could have seen this. Even people in this stinking crooked little town know how adept the sheriffs department is at covering their butts. Grier Smith, Donna Johnson, Ann Morgan, oh and how about the kid who was stabbed at Gordon. Lamar's finest couldn't decide if the helicopter needed to come or stay. Ambulance couldn't find them even with blue lights falshing. yeah, we sure do need the sheriffs department. Casey was a loving father, son, brother, and friend. You have to be from Barnesville because you have absolutely no class or respect. Now back your bleepy bla bleep bleep up before you really tick me off.

@'Anonymous' .....It doesn't matter if the CAPS are on ...totally irrelevant. And the cops DID NOT do there job all the way. Sure they locked him up. But knowing that he could have possibly taken pills....hence that his family filed a police report telling them that Casey is possibly suicidal. He should've been on suicide watch while he was in jail....He should have been MONITORED...and in Medical. They did NOT do there job 100%. They locked him up and pretty much threw away the key...went FIVE hours before checking on him...and by that time he was deceased. Have a little sympathy for his family...as you an clearly see. If you don't then keep your smart ass comments to your self on things that are irrelevant. Any person 'OUTSIDE' the City Limits of Barnesville...can clearly see that they didn't do there job all the way.

There = a place, location.
They're = They are.
Their = ownership (i. e. their job)
