Try deer's or deers' not deers. Oh and you should have wrote arrests not arrest given that you were talking about more than one. Perhaps the education system hasn't failed Chris but it certainly seems to have failed you.
As for the perfect people who swerve and don't end up in a ditch, it really depends on how fast you are going and how much time you get to react. Some people have no time to react and either swerve off the road or end up having dead deer all over their car along with damage.
It is not illegal to have a beer and then drive. The fact is, arbitrary power is vested in police officers to make subjective decisions about drivers who are within the limit, even when they didn't see the accident in question. They can't prove he didn't swerve to avoid a deer and since people are INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY, a concept lost on some of the simple minds contributing to this discussion, such an arrest was baseless and perhaps more to do with a desire to make an example of Chris due to previous arrests, which have not yet resulted in any convictions or assertion of guilt.
If the charge is dropped it is not because of some corruption by the Turner family but because the arrest was baseless and arbitrary to begin with. Perhaps comments on here should be reserved for those that actually understand law instead of gossips who only offer ignorance.
Are you retarded?
What is a doller? I believe the US currency is the dollar.
Also...
You should have wrote "you're simply an enabler" not "your simply an enabler...".
@ 5.1.1.4: Is it not also fair to consider that no convictions could also be due to the fact that the defendant is innocent or that there was insufficient evidence to secure a conviction? It is well that the law is under the consideration of intelligent people because the sort of small minded, ignorant, poorly educated riffraff that have graced this discussion would happily jail a man based upon accusation and the word of law enforcement alone, rather than based on objective evidence and sound reasoning. It is shocking that there are Americans that are so ignorant of true liberty, freedom and due process. I am sure some of you would gladly live in a police state for a little temporary safety. You need to read Ben Franklin and remember who we are as a people.
It would be interesting if the newspaper actually reported on all of the people that are charged but never convicted. It would give the gossips and those who like to cast stones a chance to apologise for their assumptions and criticisms.
Just for the record, I am not Chris's father, I am a relative to the family by marriage.
I would rather you criticize my writing skills than criticize me for raising a child that stays in trouble with the law!
How long is he going to have a teat in his mouth? Isn't he old enough to stand on his own two feet? When is enough, enough?
I know this must be extremely embarrassing for his family. He should be ashamed of himself.
Maybe his friends are a bad influence...How do you tell an adult that he cant hang out with certain people. I feal for his parents.
Barnesville is a small town and everyone knows Chris. If his name wasnt posted in the paper again and again, then no one would be saying anything.......soooooooooooo thats his fault too.
Everyone knows who is to blame...George W. Bush.
