Who can I email a picture to if I have a found dog at my house? I was told his family up left him and was not coming back for him and must find a home for him ASAP if the owners really did leave and are not coming back
We nursed a 6 y/o gelding badly injured in the Brook Road tornado. Unfortunately, he unexpectedly died last week. Our hearts are broken. Does anyone know if FEMA or GA Dept. of Ag is keeping track of horses killed as a result of the storm?
I am sorry for your loss as well as for the idiot aboves comment. Horses are very amazing creatures and own the hearts of humans all around the world. I am very lucky that the ones at my home only suffered minor injuries and immense stress. I have not heard of anyone keeping track of animal deaths caused from the storms but do recall seeing a report somewhere that listed them and if I happen upon it again, I will come back and reply again.
Thank you for the kind words. And regarding the IDIOT's comment about treatment: WE DID PAY - FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT. My wife's a large animal vet tech and was giving better care than UGA; per our UGA Alum DVM. So keep your belligerent comments inside your pie hole.
My heart goes out to everyone touched by the tornados. I often worry about my animals if something like that should happen. My dog and cat are my "children". The thought of not knowing my 4 legged children's whereabouts would devastate me. I pray that the pets are reunited with their "people" and all my prayers are with the victims of the storms, both human and animals. You think you have problems, but a disaster like this can really put things in perspective.
