Southern Rivers Energy crews are working throughout the system to repair damage from last night's storms and restore power to more than 1,000 members.

That was the quickest strongest storm I've ever seen. It was quiet, hardcore, and quiet again within what seemed minutes. I loved it!

I'll be glad when we become more metro. then there will be much more to do. this city wont be as boring then. Maybe this will bring people down here. JUst MAYBE but i doubt it because barnesville isnt the wonderful city that everyone thinks it is. ITs boring. Barnesville is a horrible city. soo ya

Why don't you sod off to downtown Atlanta or one of the rat hole suburbs where it isn't safe to go out at night without a gun, if Barnesville is so bad. I used to live in a more urban area and it was horrible. You can't beat small town and rural America.

I use to think something similar until.....I grew up. Now I am in my mid-30's and I prefer the slow life that is not cluttered with strip malls and car exhaust.

Back on the chainsaw again this morning. Storm brought down even more damaged trees from the tornado.

Roadside full of brush again. Come back soon county brush removal contractors!
