The Lamar County Diamond Trojans are taking part in a team baseball camp at Auburn University this week. About 19 players and the Trojan coaching staff made the trip to the camp which lasted from Tuesday through Thursday.

The summer program is a little bit more laid-back, but at the same time it is a chance for the coaches to experiment with the players to see what they can accomplish without having quite as much pressure to win, as the regular season holds.
Early reports from the Auburn Camp have the Trojans defeating Norcross 6-5, and the Parkview 'Split-Squad' 4-3. A game with Cairo was rained-out on Wednesday afternoon. The Trojans should return home to Barnesville sometimes late Thursday p.m.
