Barnesville’s own Hunter Price, nominated for Georgia Teen Artist of the year, is a contender in the semifinals that end at 12 noon Thursday, Sept. 4.
“To be a contender, you had to be nominated by someone in the music industry,” said his mother Marilyn Price. “Hunter was nominated along with 24 others for Georgia Country Teen Artist of the Year.”
Hunter grew up in Lamar County and still lives here. Hunter has NEVER been asked to do a show with, for or at the High School. Also, Hunter has never been asked to play at Buggy Days. He was asked to do the "Summer Sizzle" make-up Buggy Day show following the rain-out a few years back and did participate for free. He also gave his time by playing at Benefest to benefit the Lamar County tornado victims which most citizens did not attend and missed a wonderful line-up of artist. Hunter is proud of being from Barnesville. In fact, if you look at his videos at all of his performances, when he is introduced, he proudly states that he is from Barnesville, GA. I would love to have Barnesville and Lamar County to wish Hunter the best in his future endeavors.
I no longer live in Barmesville I live in Kentucky BUT I don't deny my roots nor has Hunter!
