In a brief called meeting this morning, the Lamar County commission named Robert "Bob" Zellner of the Redbone community as county manager.

I object to filling this so called vacancy. I have no axe to grind with Bob Zellner. I dont believe this is a position the Tax Payers of Lamar should have to pay for. The position has failed once, did the commission get the message?

Well, they always say if you aren't watching history repeats itself...wasn't Bob Zellner county administrator years ago and hired Patty (Johnston)Stephens as his administrative assistant??? Then he left and she ended up doing both jobs for all those years???? Maybe she can get her old job back, too........

No Patty was there before he was and was a great help to him. They made a good team, she had a lot of history.
