Lamar County and Pike County face off in the annual Battle of Potato Creek Friday night. The Trojans are 5-0 for the season while the Pirates are 4-1. Their only loss came to First Presbyterian Day in a non-region contest. Both squads are 3-0 in Region 4AA. The Trojans are averaging 40.4 points per game (5th in the state) while giving up 16.6 points per game.

The Trojans doesn't have a passing game at all and the Pirates can put 11 players in the box and play defense for the run. Just the way it is seen from this side of Potato Creek.

Pike County is going to have a hard time dealing with the shame of losing on their own field. Its just another game. :)

arrr maties. I see the Trojans own us at home as well as away. The LC team is 10-3 in our cow pasture we call a football field. Shiver me timbers! It may get very ugly very quick. I hear tale of a big turnout by us Pike Countians and gonna fill both sides so the fans from Trojan country have nowhere to sit. I guess after 5 or 6 scores by their super duper sophomores it will empty fast.

Yep, there will be plenty of seats available for the Trojan fans after halftime. The Pirate fans will be hitting the exits, enmasse.
